So does this mean non Pro patched games can utilise the extra power to be more consistent? Like will games with variable resolutions stick to 1080p more often?
Digital foundry has got a lot of work ahead! Loving this update - boost mode, custom wallpapers and external HDD support. What else do we need?! Lol
Good theory. This is most likely just having PS4 games run at higher CPU clock. Would not affect GPU bound games, as the GPU on Pro has different arch but CPU is the same.
Supersampling on system level for 1080P users.
OhMyGod indeed, what's the update name btw? no fancy warrior name this time?
Colin wasPS4 Pro?
J U S T I F I E D
suck it, Colin & Greg.
Just Cause 3 and Dishonored 2 will benefit greatly
Boost mode - how is this possible ? Cerny mentioned that changing the cpu frequency broke the base ps4 games . Thats why they underclocked the cpu and turned off part of the gpu . Maybe they are unlocking the gpu but keeping the cpu clock rate at 1.6ghz ?
It's not the same thing though.
Wonder what that means for games with dynamic resolutions such as Doom?
I don't get why it would break something, when there are frame rate caps in every game?
Will this let me play Bloodborne at 60FPS?
Or will it only be useful for games that at times can't quite reach 30FPS or 60FPS?
boost mode for PS4 Pro
higher frame rate for old game which dont have Pro patch

It's free to dream. You people mentioning 60fps are fucking crazy.
Right...?
