There is no need to because they already answered that.
Forza Horizon 3 is a better open world game than Horizon.
Agreed. Its Not Even a contest.
I've officially seen and heard it all

Literally nothing right now, like no big genre defining release. The Xbox world past Scorpio will not move much this year
Crackdown will be the "big" showpiece for Scorpio, count on it.Man, if their E3 is just Scorpio + new Forza, Gears, and Halo announcements (alongside previously announced stuff), it's going to be rough. I have to believe they've got more cooking than that.
Microsoft don't actually need an answer. it's MICROSOFT. they just have to spend millions on convincing people they are going to release the greatest piece of technology of all time and they will pay for it. people are idiots. "xbox gamers" are just idiots, the same ones that think the latest film with The Rock in it will be brilliant. you can sell anything to an idiot.
Why MS need to bring IP's like Zelda/Horizon when For honor outsold both and sold better on Xbox one?
A game is a game whether it's made by Ubisoft, EA, Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft. They just need to build a system that can play most popular games the best, show third party publisher how profitable when their games release on Xbox.
The goal is build attractive video game platform, take a cut from every games as platform holder and release profitable games occasionally.
Is this just US sales figures again or do we have world wide numbers?

Sea of thieves will be a huge hit, lots of members sleeping on this game.
Proof that For Honor sold more than Horizon and Zelda? We have no cumulative sales figures for For Honor and all we know is that it led February NPD which Zelda and HZD were not a part of. Ghost Recon sure, but I'm not sure For Honor is in that class of sales.
Made up figures.

I'm getting a little antsy about e3.
Wat?All this its true for Sony too.
It's true. There are so many games that were just released that my year could be filled up (after Persona is out that is). Why? For me personally the first half of 2017 has been so great that what happens at E3 is not even a much of thought this early. No need to get hyped on the future when the present is so damn amazing.
The real answer is Crackdown 3. Open world game that's doing something different.

You could argue that this shines a light on the fact that Sony and Nintendo have a plethora of extremely capable, diverse, and creative first party studios. Any of them could be the source of something fresh and exciting coming to their respective platforms.Even if you have the talents, time and money, it's still really hard to come up with something like BoTW.
It took almost 20 years for Nintendo to finally replicate OoT like breakthrough.
No one have answer to that, you do you own thing.
Look at their current release schedule and the Scalebound cancellation. I don't think Microsoft is interested in developing those kinds of experiences. They'll leave that to third parties. Seems like games-as-a-service is their M.O now.
Lmfao, this post was coming eventually. That's all these sorts of threads & MS ones in particular spawn, really. Sly console war posts that inevitably lead up to this.Microsoft don't actually need an answer. it's MICROSOFT. they just have to spend millions on convincing people they are going to release the greatest piece of technology of all time and they will pay for it. people are idiots. It would be actually interestinfg, if somebody would go the complete Open World route with a Jump'N'Run Adventure Game. Or Car Building Racing^^'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuttier and Boltier.
Every big third party publisher is doing games as service - the whole point of having first party is making your console more attractive by taking bigger risks.
Did people think Scalebound looked that good.
Well that's the issue that Microsoft have right now. They're trying to compete in a model that already has several well established Titans with huge player bases. I'm not necessarily saying it's the right strategy, but it's clearly what they're banking on right now. The results have yet to be seen though.
You will last long here.
