The game felt great for me only problem is they need a button that re-centers the motion controls (someone tell me if they have it hopefully they do) other than that i had alot of fun. Also did you guys know you could control the music a little bit while you're in loby?

Well, played the whole hour and my hype is now through the roof.

- The textures are stunning - real upgrade
- The colours really pop on the Switch screen
- The HD rumble is subtle but immersive
- New stages and music have such effortless universal cool, I love the world they've built
- I came top of my team every match

Is there actually HD rumble? It just felt like standard rumble to me... I guess I'll test it out more later tonight.

Damn didn't realise it was only an hour. How do the motion controls compare to the first?

Wait this was only an hour? I was looking forward to trying this out when I got home from work. FFS Nintendo I am trying real hard to love you again with my Switch but as usual you do everything completely asinine.

It was a good stress test today folks, see you guys tomorrow for the next.

It's one hour a day for the whole weekend ya bastard, don't you read the OP?

Played for a solid 45 minutes and I only had one match disconnect.

Had a great time! Dualies are a fun addition but I was really impressed with the improvements for rollers. It was my favorite weapon type in Splatoon, but the aerial attack makes such a difference in fighting back.

Only thing I'm not crazy about so far is the countdown music, which isn't nearly as hype or pressure-inducing as the original. Thankfully the rest of the new music is great; in particular, I really like the use of guitar in the loss theme.

Just finished a match, searching for another.

Edit : I got into another match, got booted, and now am locked out. Looking forward to playing more even if I don't really like it yet! haha

Turn down the gyro sensitivity?

Its not the sensitivity its my brain trying to use right stick for horizontal and gyro for vertical. My brain can't seem to adjust to it. I'd rather horizontal and vertical be gyro or have it work like it does in Zelda. In Zelda I still use the right stick to line up my shot but if I'm slightly off target I'll slightly tilt the controller where I need it. My brain seems to understand this no problem. But trying to get it to use 2 different input methods for horizontal and vertical just isn't registering for me.

I'm guessing as of right now its either gyro or no gyro and not a combination like zelda?

Also is there anywhere to provide feedback of the beta to the devs?

A small power comsumption test.

Played fully on portable mode, from 100% to 65% in exactly one hour. So the same power consumption as Zelda.

Still going and wont until I get kicked out lol, so much fun, give us a release date soon!

I hope they do more test fires like they did with the first game

my favourite new addition is definitely the bouncy bombs, it's like a seeker that you're not worried about popping early

I know right, its just Splatoon 1 HD Remix Edition.

The fact that it's probably going to be a reasonable setup for locals over whatever was in the first game is enough to justify the purchase.

I can maybe hopefully actually attend tournaments now.

So this was first experience with Splatoon.

The Roller really worries me. It might be cause I'm an unskilled noob but the Roller feels broken? It was the only weapon that I felt effective when using, and I could never beat anyone that had it when I was using other weapons. Is this just a learning curve thing or is the roller a blatant OP weapon for unskilled players?

Also any word on whether they're gonna include a single player campaign? I heard the first one had amazing bosses, and frankly a single player mode feels like the best way to acclimate with and learn the game before hopping online.

Aside from all that, it was great and can't wait to play the final game.

Still going! Sweet! Out of the last 12 games, I have won 2. What does that mean?

A - I'm so shit I drag every team down
B - I'm playing against teams
C - just unlucky

That was good. It's been a while since I played Splatoon, but it still feels like the first game, though I need to retrain my muscle memory to jump with B instead of X and not looking for the map on my controller.

I think the graphics were improved but not to the level I was expecting, but it still looks really good. It played a smooth 60 fps the whole time while docked. Tonight I'll try it in handheld mode and see how it plays.

The new music is on point.
