This poster is clinging to a nonsense rumor from months ago.
I have to be honest, I......am not nearly as enthused for this announcement as I thought I would be. When it wasn't announced as any part of the Switch's launch bonanza with how closely the original XX's release date was, I kind of wrote off the hype I would've had. Now it just feels like it's going to be an extremely dated-looking release and another half-measure by Capcom trying to dip their toe into the system's ecosystem without actually committing much of anything.
Some parts of Generations were already looking kind of rough on the 3DS, I have a hard time imagining this is going to look terribly impressive on the Switch's screen. Then again...I guess I survived 3 Ultimate well enough. I'll still get this if they localize it, but at this point I was hoping that Monster Hunter's arrival on Switch would be something much fresher and more impressive.

Anyway, a blind man could've seen this coming, but I didn't expect them to announce it so soon. Maybe it'll be releasing sooner than I thought. Gonna be nice for me since I didn't touch any of the MHs on the arthritis inducer so it'll all be brand new, even if it looks like the monster designs have dropped off a cliff.
I think it's going to be Westernized MH with movie ties.
No Original MH gameplay but simple monster hunting action game set in modern era.
+ I also think it will release on every major platform even Switch.
Where have you been since Monster Hunter came to the Wii and became exclusive to 3DS? The Monster Hunter port begging for a PS4 release even clogs up sales threads where people are just trying to discuss sales and numbers.

The very same rumor leaked the name of mhxx before annoucement.
Plus a few weeks later capcom commented how they want to expand the audience on the west and how small the handheld market is compared to japan.

I don't know about that. It's a port of a game that already sold over a million two months ago on 3DS. I don't see it selling gangbusters or being as big as a lot of posts here seem to imply.
To me, this is more of a move to get it out in the west on a more relevant system.
People have been derailing monster hunter threads with playstation anxiety since it moved to nintendo, way before the switch was a twinkle in miyamoto's eye.
and supposedly if the big hd "real" PS4 MH is really coming then why is it even being brought up here? y'all are about to get your meal so go sit down somewhere

You can't ragard an anonymous imageboard as "they" and as a single source. One person that leaked Switch Presentation could be different from the one who posted MH rumour. Not to mention the former have no restriction whatsoever to post bullshit if they feel like it and get out unscathed. 4chan isn't gaf and lots bullshit come out from that place than genuine article'

3) We frown upon port-begging. Speculation about a completely different game isn't quite port-begging, but it is annoying, hence the first message.
4) You don't want gaming mods to go hard as hell on port-begging, especially in regards to the Switch. Relax. If you have a problem, point it towards a mod. Even if I don't handle gaming side, I can pass it to another mod who will.
