Do I win a prize for talking about my penis on the Internet???
I really think they need to find a way to remove 'One' from the name while still communicating that it's fully compatible with all Xbone software/hardware.

Agreed. Marketing should be done to make sure people can see all the XB1 stuff will work with no issues.

Has it been long enough to just go "Xbox" ?

All this power is utterly pointless if it's just used to convert to native 4k, correct? For a very large majority of the user base having 1080p this provides no benefit beyond an Xbox one other than faster UI/menus? Same goes for PS4 pro which I own, it does have a boost mode but very little gains. Games will still be at 30fps, HDD, more $$, not sure I see it as that exciting at the moment. What service does it provide to the average or not so average gamer without 4k, am I missing something?

Agreed, but you have to consider the average consumer and parents buying it.
Yeah it's gonna be interesting to see how they handle it.

I think so, but if theyre gonna go the 'Apple' route, they better have a crystal clear marketing message about exactly what Scorpio (the new Xbox) is.

It's better than the PSPro and actually fully supports 1080p TV owners?

Everyone will get better graphics AND image quality on ALL games?

Then why did you buy a Pro?

So you think all that extra power will just go to UI/Menus stuff and have no effect of Xbox One titles? Maybe waiting for E3 would be a good step.

I do most of my gaming primarily on my PS4, I put in an SSD along with a slightly faster UI/Menu and boost mode, it's very noticable and I think the SSD does most of that. I'm aware I can do that with my XBOX somewhat but I'm not aware you can install the OS on an external SSD. Doesn't look too easy to change internal drive and also not looking to void warranty. That's kinda why I was hoping Scorpio might be geared more towards gamers and less towards TV enthusiasts. I want Scorpio to succeed but I only see a more powerful PS4 pro with that power being used for native 4k. Not holding my breath but it would be nice if they gave options to use the power for 1080p when you aren't using 4k. We shall see.

Well obviously get to see games soon, but downscaling to 1080p and AF seems to be a given across the board. I'm also hoping to see the pc equivalent of high/ultra settings in many games. It should be a far more noticeable difference than the pro situation, at least in certain cases. We'll see though. As a 1080p owner not looking to upgrade anytime soo I'm trying not to be sold on it till ms actually sells me it.

Xbox One X is meh, while not bad it just sounds to close to Xbox One S. Can see it now, person walks in to get an Xbox one X, GameStop employee or whatever goes into the back and comes out with an Xbox One S.

I could see them going with Xbox One Elite or Xbox One Pro. They did end up calling their console the Xbox one so who even knows if they go with what people are expecting naming wise.

It's gonna be the Xbox one x because then they can call it the XBOX. XBoxOneX.

Edit: The surface line uses just surface and surface pro right? That makes a good case for calling it the one pro, but Sony already used that one.

I don't trust any new naming convention from MS. I hope they just keep it Scorpio.

Does anyone actually think that's cool? Wow an acronym for xbox. Mind blown! /s To the average person it does not grab your attention or do anything to perhaps persuade someone from just getting a One S. In fact the only people who will notice or care are people on a gaming forum lol. The MS marketing team has to be smarter than that. Scorpio may be geared toward the enthusiast but it still needs to have an enticing and catchy name. Not Xbox One X... my opinion anyway which isn't usually popular lol.

That's what I'm thinking, keep the "Xbox One" tag to make sure people know it plays the same games. The successor can drop the "One" branding to make it clear it has exclusives.

As for Surface, they only recently started cleaning things up there. Previously we had things like Surface 1-3 and Surface Pro 1-4. Now they've just gone with "Surface X" to create a family of devices.

Geared towards TV enthusiasts? If anything, its geared towards people with monitors. All the power used for 4k? Forza 6 which looked upgraded ran at 4k with plenty of headroom to spare. The power for 1080p? Mandated super sampling and developer freedom.

No need to come in here with your negativity which is based on nothing.

This is still being asked? After everything with the Dual Foundry stuff? Jesus wept.

What gives you the impression that this is where all the power is going? They've said 1080P owners will see benefits and that it is up to publishers/devs to decide how they want to use the extra horsepower.

-PS4 pro is just a more powerful PS4, but Scorpio being a more powerful PS4 Pro isn't good enough?
-Also, who is saying that the power differential all just being pumped into 4K?

I saw this in the chat box of Gamersyde, no idea where he got it from because I can't find on his Twitter.

" I already know Battlefront II will run and look better on Scorpio than the VAST majority of PCs on Steam, native 4K @ 60 FPS. Can't wait to see more of the beast."

According to Jez Corden.

I wonder if he means Scorpio will run it at native 4K and 60fps or that he means the PCs.
