Pokemon Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun for Nintendo 3DS

Honestly I feel the most sensible decision would have been to release Ultra on the 3DS and Switch, the Switch version being upressed to 720p and then call it a day. But yeah here we are Nintendo messed this one up...

I'll still get one of them though, Alola is a great region and if it's anything like Black and White 2 I'll have fun.

Keep the salt coming, buttholes

Hype as SHIT about the implication of Ultra Space playing a bigger role with the Ultra in the title. If these are from Ohmori then I'm fine.

Everyone here is so mad lmfao

Hope they bring back the PWT cause while the main game was cool in Sun and Moon, that lack of postgame...yikes.

Is there a good explanation why they would be re-releasing these on the platform it's already available on? I understand the install base on 3DS, and there are more changes (not just a simple re-release), but maaaaan. This feels like a missed opportunity re: the Switch and a fresh-but-friendly market. Instead of feeling like something new, they manage to make it feel redundant or lazy (deserved or not).

Because GameFreak have had 'third' versions of the games for a long while now. X/Y was the exception, not the norm. In particular, this variant of the scheme has been around since Gen V, where they shifted to Black 2/White 2, which were treated as sequels in game.

I'm still holding on to hope with E3. Maybe gamefreak will think about their future install base.

My daughter is gonna be sad about this news. She wanted a real Pokemon game for her switch.

I'll admit I'm a bit salty about no Switch, but then again Game Freak usually takes their time with new platforms. The thing I'm most confused about is which version I'd get depending on the one I previously bought, at least for version exclusives.

And this is why I'm not getting a Switch yet. They've got a single platform for their entire software lineup, they need to use it to make it seem most compelling. We've had enough 3DS Pokemon games.

There are only somewhere over 1.5 million Switches in the wild.
Sun and Moon Sold over 15 million copies.

So it really isn't hard to figure out why this isn't on the Switch yet. Just not enough units in the wild yet.

Yikes. Will it still run poorly and hsve a ton of unskippable cutscenes? I don't know if I could do this again.

I'm slightly disappointed that this didn't end up on Switch as well, but ultimately I would prefer a new generation game on Switch. I really didn't like Sun/Moon, playing it on the Switch wouldn't have made it better for me.

Next year probably!

I think a Switch version is gonna get announced after those two versions are out, so dont expect an announcement at E3, may early next year, its gonna be a long wait

Geez guys, switch version is inevitable. You lot are going on as if the switch will never get a mainline pkm game. Let's wait till E3

Legit sources can get shit wrong, ya know. There is a sequel to Sun and Moon coming out and there is also a "Pokemon" game coming to Switch. Rumors needn't always be 100% accurate. That's what makes them fun.
Dunno if I'd call it fun, I think a lot of people are disappointed with no Switch version only because of the rumor (otherwise no one would consider it after B2W2 happened)

Game looked stupid. I hate the fusion of legendaries. A retelling of Sun and Moon? So no continuity with the story? I will not buy this.

Why would Nintendo sell one game when they can sell two to people who buy both? If it's done like B2/W2 this is better, so there's that. Just give me more Alolan forms and I'll be satisfied I guess.

Gen 8 on Switch in 2019 it is!
