Not coming to the Switch but coming to Xbox? Capcom being Capcom
Looks cool BUT how do I play that shit in the bus ?
PS4/XBO/PC are like one big platform -- they can basically make one SKU. Switch is its own thing, like WiiU -- hard to justify making exclusives for it, but being a handheld hybrid helps. That's why I'd be wary about expecting Switch to get MH5. If World does well, I could see it sticking on the big three. 3DS is getting old -- seems like they might want to move on, and PS4/XBO/PC is gonna have a larger install base than Switch.
It's not normal Monster Hunter.watched the reveal and above gameplay vid.. not feeling this for some reason :/
They aren't gonna announce MH5 at TGS when MH:W wont even be out for like 4-6 more months.

Yo, that looked way worse than I thought it was going to be...
What's with all those monsters being so blind?
No no no you just ruined his stealth switch port beg.The game will have a pc version so buy a good laptop.
The stealth mechanic does seem pretty odd there. just duck into a bush for like 3 seconds and aggro is lost
How is it any different from running 10 feet and zoning?

It looks like it's just extended bits from the trailer.
Thankfully. I'm glad they're trying new things. There's more than enough traditional Monster Hunter available for me to play.
this what they showed on the stream
You're absolutely correct, but that's the thing here: there's no effect at all. Jumping GS attacks are practically guaranteed to be a crit, so seeing it missing is rather jarring.

And it doesn't show any real combat.
I guess I'm just open to long-running franchises trying some new things.
Two of my favorite games are Resident Evil 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
I'm gonna guess that it won't be like that in final release, probably tweaked just for showcase purposes. Most of this trailer seemed to be them showing off how the game has evolved, rather than showing actual representative gameplay. The stealth mechanic does seem pretty odd there. just duck into a bush for like 3 seconds and aggro is lost
Resident Evil 7 also turned out pretty damn good after experimenting with the game.I guess I'm just open to long-running franchises trying some new things, especially if the core team is behind it.

The stealth part with the Anjanath (I'm assuming) is so strange looking. The hunter isn't even hidden in foliage or whatever, the ghillie suit item that doesn't even cover most of his body just makes him essentially invisible when he's 10 feet away from the monster and sticking straight out of the grass from the waist up and it looks right at of him.
