Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer actually does let you play as a female character

All that hair gel that Noctis, Prompto, Ignis and Gladio use was hiding all the cool hair animations lol.

Since only ~28% of our poll voters thought this would happen at launch, and ~37% thought this would never happen, I thought it was worth pointing out.

There clearly is a female in the screenshots they used to announce the mode

that poll was stupid

Very cool.

At least Xion was in a game, which I cannot say the same thing for Stella.

Pretty sure that Nomura will put her somewhere in one of his games. One day.

Edit : Would be pretty cool if she'd be revealed to be the Master of Eraqus and MX but only appear as a cameo with no major role in the came.

Can someone explain to me what the footage I'm seeing is running on for this new character?

It looks better than the base game on PS4 that I own?

Good, I usually prefer female character if given a chance, unless the female character is just male character with boob and new face added on, like in the Soul games. That character creator is terrible.

Considering every Souls game you're playing as literal borderline zombies traditionally attractive options for character creation don't make sense.

It's seriously bad.

First thing I do is dress characters from head to toe so I see as little of them as possible.

Man that dual blade .gif looks nice. I bought the season pass just to get into the beta, I feel like a chump but I really want to play the beta especially if there is some reward down the line.

The picture looks weird. I can't tell how funky those skin tones might or might not look. I need something more for hairstyles than straight hair, cornrows with no hangtime, and an afro.
There's like 4 different hair options due to it being a beta. So we won't know what we can fully do until the actual release.

Can I make a black girl though?

There's a pretty full range of natural skin tone options, I only scrolled through them quickly but the darker skin tones looked pretty good to me, but being a very pale whitey I may not be the most discerning judge. Still they didn't have the over shininess that a lot of darker tones in character creators usually have.

I thought it would happen because of those screenshots. The 37% didn't actually look at them, or thought that was an NPC or something.

Excellent news!

So much testing for BD2 next game, which we can easily assume will have the same mechanics (open-world, online connectivity, character customization).

Judging by the responses in this and the other thread, people are getting more than what they expected from Square Enix.

But sure.

Yeah, it's funny seeing a response like that when SE seem to have created one of the most impressive character creators to date.

They look better than pre-created characters in most games.

I'm hoping for better hair selections in the full release.

Are we seriously going to bring Stella into this thread???

The "Stella talk" was already over.
We did not start an argument about this.

I know that you love the game, and its perfectly fine.
But some think otherwise. Personnaly, I wish for more Lore. I just want the story to feel somehow, complete. It doesn't right now IMO.
I could be proven wrong and I hope I'll be, but I don't think that the multiplayer content will do much to add to the story.
(And yes, I know Multiplayer was a promised thing when they talked about the season pass a year ago, I knew it was coming, it's not for me and i'm not complaining about that.)
