I would be glad to, but I can't seem to access my original message now. Basically though, I just described in detail exactly what happened. I gave them exact dates for when the transaction originally occurred and also documented the exact dates for when he contacted me and I attempted to contact him. I also let them know that it appeared he had sold the exact item to multiple users at the same forum and told them it was NeoGAF.

I'm hoping that, because a number of people have filed the same dispute, they will decide to just refund us all. I hope they go after him for fraud as well, but I feel like that's probably out of my hands now.

Assuming everyone is okay with it, I think I am going to create a user guide for all the different payment options and add it to the OP. It's not going to say to only use one option, but will instead just detail what protections are available for both Buyers and Sellers with each option.

I actually just received another email from the Google support team, after sending them an email thanking them for their help. I was kind of surprised to hear back, but the lady said she had gotten scammed online as well and understood where I was coming from.

She then stated that the user was now being actively investigated by the Google support team and would no longer be allowed to scam anyone else. Good news for sure, and hopefully that means that everyone else can get refunded as well.

It's one of the (many) reasons why I don't think that Steam codes should count for this thread (or at least have some sort of feedback indicator - like "Digital item" versus "Physical item" or something).
They're basically worthless, clutter things up, and are an easy way for someone to get a 50+ rating for under $30.

Although there is nothing we can do as moderators to solve the situation [since, obviously, caveat emptor and we don't control Google Wallet or whatever], rest assured the account has been disabled permanently and we have recorded his details to try to catch future re-registrations. We do not have an accurate name or any information that would be useful in disputes beyond what you would already have as part of your payment, and the email does not seem like it would be easy to connect to a real life human, so unfortunately I don't think we can be of too much assistance here, but we do have IP addresses and other mechanisms to try to catch re-regs.

Cloggerdude notified me that he's writing something about payment method pro/cons, which I think is a good idea, and in the mean time I personally only pay with Paypal (and never paying Friends/Family) because they have probably the fastest and easiest dispute resolution policy.

If anyone else was affected, I encourage you to come forward here and coordinate with other victims as part of your dispute claim with Google Wallet.
