I'm not disputing the historical context of the N word but racism is racism no matter what the context by saying it's ok to call a white person a racist name is ok because we have a higher moral ground is complete hypocrisy. If you REALLY want to end racism you should condone it in all its forms but instead you are breeding it.

2. The usual suspects make the same "he's not a real racist" videos, eventually getting lazier and lazier until they're all reading from ragged yellowed copies of the same script.
3. Half of PewDiePie's remaining fans continue to insist that he's under attack from the mainstream media and isn't actually racist while deliberately avoiding acknowledgement of the other half, who is just typing racial slurs in the comment sections of every website they can find with no effort to form coherent statements. A good chunk from either camp tweet out "Hail Felix hail out people".
4. A few dozen GAF accounts with less then five posts appear out of nowhere for the some purpose of getting hammered down again.
5. YouTube does absolutely nothing. PewDiePie remains a million dollar property.

PDP and h3h3 is ruining youtube for everyone, For content creators and viewers. Ethan's own fans are actually turning on him. I liked his stuff when he doing sketches and finding bizarre videos on the internet and now he's gone too political.

I will never, for the life of me understand white people's obsession with saying it.
And if they can't say, they sure love to tell us when and where we should be allowed to say it.
Just simply accept the fact that you cant say it and move on.
I have lived in America most of my life around people of Hispanic decent and i've never once thought to myself "Man, I wish I could say s***..."
My guess is that the feeling not being able to say that word generates is the same feeling that having a black president generates.

If racism only amounted to a random white person here and there saying the n-word... we would be rejoicing in the streets because if that was all it was, we would be fine.

-The people who make the majority of the lawmakers in your state
-The people who make up the majority of the police department in your county/city

He's at 50 million+ and is literally the biggest celebrity on the internet.
He's not going away anytime soon - especially if people continue to enable his abhorrent behavior.
At the end of the day, it's not really even about him (no one could care less about him being trash to be honest), it's about the millions of kids that are taught to think that it's okay to be racist, sexist and disrespectful towards other people.
We don't want to enable that by staying quiet. It's vital to continue raising voices and resistance.

This. At this point you have to think that Felix is doing this for pure shock marketing.
Nobody's that stupid to make the same mistake countless times in a row.
The first scandal earlier this year gave him a shitload of new subscribers, so I guess he's trying out new things to keep his name in everybody's mouth. Counting by the coverage and outrage he's getting by every racist/stupid shit he's saying, it seems to be working.
It worked for Jake Paul on a different scale as well.
All kind of publicity is good publicity.

I didnt get that from his post at all. I got him saying that advertisers will crack down because hes one of the most influential and more than likely has some effect on how things go when it comes to demonetizing things.

Yes, attention whores crave attention... be it positive or negative they frankly don't care. If you have a young child craving attention then ignoring them may well be a solution that makes sense.
However, this solution only works when you are literally depriving the attention seeker everything they crave by ignoring them. Whereas Pewdiepie has cultivated a vast outreach above and beyond that of any other streamer and has a subscriber base and loyal viewership that numbers in the thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions... of CHILDREN. Young, impressionable minds... who are all effectively being molded by this monster because their parents have elected to have the Internet babysit their kids and shape their value system.
Surely you can understand that THIS is not a problem that can be solvled by IGNORING it. So stop - for the ever love of fucking god - saying that ignoring this problem is the solution. Because you're wrong. AND you're effectively derailing the thread because for some reason you find this discussion bothersome. And you should probably ask yourself why that is, too.

Perhaps instead of calling into question his intelligence, maybe you should question your own reading comprehension.
It's the same thing that causes the cries of a war on Christmas/Christianity. White people have been able to pretty much do what they want for so long that any limitations on that feels like oppression. We can't believe there's something someone else gets to do that we can't.
After having seen Jim Sterling's take on the matter, this is what really bothers me. PDP is basically why we can't have nice things. It's things like these that have caused the ad-pocalypse on YouTube. It's likely things like this that will restrict YouTube in a manner that will remove the "post your video"-nature of the site..
Google will continue to find ways to ensure PDP can't hurt its YouTube-brand.
