I'd like to see what Taro can do with a DoD4/Nier 3, with unlimited funds. He's a true auteur like Kojima or Miyazaki and his games usually feel like they were constrained in some way. I want him to be able to fully explore whatever wild ideas he has swimming around in his head.

Let Yoko Taro do his thing, keep gameplay good and have the story...Coherent and I'm all in. Don't milk it, don't water it down into Final Fantasy, no movies, no smartphone games, no corporate bullshit. You got a good thing going on Square, don't fuck it or Taro will become another Kojima and resent the franchise he's stuck on.

Nier for sure unless platinum is on board to work on drakengard and Yoko taro makes a decent drakengard story that isn't completely nonsensical.

Even then Dues Ex suffered in the review department at least compared to the other three. Just seems weird to reference a game that so obviously bombed when they've had so much success in the last year.

Real talk, I like me some anime booty as much as everyone else seems to, but not only I ended up having to buy the 2Booty achievement, but it also has a relatively low percentage.
More people got Ending E than the 2Booty achievement, and that says a lot. It's just a great butt, so you'll see a lot of gifs and stuff on the internet, but overall I don't think it made that much of a difference. At least not taken as THE BOOTY, of course the amazing character design by Akihiko Yoshida is a major reason why the game was so appealing, but I don't think it would be any less if he went with a more modest butt, or a different outfit that didn't call as much attention to it.
And, as I said, I bought the achievement, so the amount of people who got it is still affected by that possibility.
Ending [E] is a gift to gaming.

Totally. It's a great game. I'm just joking about the booty being the reason.
If it's your first Yoko Taro game, just remember that the game is not over until you get Ending [E]. No, you don't have to replay the whole game 5 times.
Have fun, it's incredible. It's definitely not for everyone, but if it resonates with you, it REALLY resonates with you, and it's an experience you'll never forget. Truly one of the greats.

I mean, Square-Enix had 0 reason to actually greenlight another NieR game after the first one, yet they did and here we are, so like, why worry? Let them throw money at the IP again. Platinum and Yoko Taro both deserve the bigger budget afforded to them.

I don't think they get anything other than their initial contract fee, but given what Kamiya had to say about Yoko Taro, they certainly got rewarded in a way.

Why would they greenlight a Nier Sequel? Why would they hire a development team that has a history of unprofitable games? How could the game have worked out so well? How could a low to mid budget JRPG sell so well in the west?

in the starting building (the tall one you fight the Engels on), climb up the elevator shaft ladder all the way to the top, you'll find Adam's glasses on the roof.

it's an equippable item. Glasses should be on the top floor of the very first building you encounter. The one with multiple floors. You can only get it after

Mana has a remake coming out, vagrant story and tactics are the same universe and 14 is currently giving a tribute so it's not impossible, and chrono..... Why there's nothing for chrono is beyond me.
