My movie tastes: the thread.
Most of the "omg plot twist" movies like Fight Club are often overrated and not quite as enjoyable to watch once you know the trick. I have mixed feelings about Star Wars, Episode VI is trash imho, Episode I aside probably the worst one - ironically Rogue One might have been one of the best ones, almost a shame they wasted that storyline on a side story. I think Tarantino movies are vastly overrated thanks to being almost the only "artsy" director that is mainstream enough. James Bond movies only started to get good with Craig. Most old movies aged horribly, the only movies from before the 80's I can legit enjoy is the absolutely perfect Rosemary's Baby. The Saw series was mostly improving, 5-7 are pretty amazing if you can get over some cheesy acting by the trap victims. Sharknado is one of the best thing to happen to the movie industry, by the fifth chapter they went so deep into the fuckery that I'm legit looking forward to what bullshit they come up with - it's hilarious, and practically ruined less inventive B-movies for me (which is a kind of movie I enjoy watching for the laughs). The One is a good action flick. Fast & Furious movies got decent when they got rid of the street racing crap, now at least they're enjoyable (if cheesy) action movies. The Twilight movies aren't that bad, bar the fact the final part shouldn't have been cut into 2 movies because it's literally the less intense part of the whole story. The MCU movies are mostly boring overrated superhero flicks where they desperately try to make the characters interesting but they mostly fail - only when they decide to have some fun (Guardians 2 [the first Guardians was insanely boring tbh] and Iron Man 3) the movies end up being good; they have such a big budget and they only produce predictable and unexciting movies, at least DCU tries to bring something new (although it usually fails).
I could go on but you probably hate me enough as it is.
