Hard to Kill
I don't get that video, it says ps4 on the ps5, so it is probably only the ps4 version ?
Maybe they didn’t get the Xbox copy in time… happens…Yep sadly this is the case on YouTube. You don't see a lot of channels focusing on Xbox Series X content because it doesn't do too well. Switch and PS5 taking the lead
It is a year old video… yeap it only possible to be the the BC versions.I don't get that video, it says ps4 on the ps5, so it is probably only the ps4 version ?
Well at least it was the first time Alex said PS5 is the better version…
Maybe it just a coincidence

Alex?Oh come the fuck on. DF said games like Outriders and RE Village were better on PS5. It's not the first time the system won a head to head there. But this isn't exactly a head to head between consoles.

It is.
But RE8 ran better on XSX.
Nah they're always reliable.
It is a year old video… yeap it only possible to be the the BC versions.
I thought he was joking… I mean AnalistaDeBits is not better than this video of old versions.
Oh I understand now, I had the tab open for a while and only saw that video, now looking at previous posts I get it.Thanks for the clarification guys.Jan 23, 2021
It is.
Alex is fine imo, sure his preference is PC but if you have a good PC then yeah it probably would be.Alex?
Edit - I won’t waste your time… it was Tom and John respectively… not Alex.
In the RT mode in some scenarios, but it also loaded 300% faster on PS5.But RE8 ran better on XSX.
Lol 2 seconds versus 6. Big deal in a game that doesn't load again when you get into gameplay. But XSX won the framerate battle which most people would agree is more important.Alex is fine imo, sure his preference is PC but if you have a good PC then yeah it probably would be.
It's Tom and maybe the new guy (Oliver?) I don't 100% trust.

Sure, in RT mode, in the other mode they were pretty much locked I think(?). There was one area in the RT mode that made both drop, with PS5 dropping a little more, but they were mostly good.Lol 2 seconds versus 6. I really can't read people online anymore. Is that last sentence sarcasm?Sure, in RT mode, in the other mode they were pretty much locked I think(?). There was one area in the RT mode that made both drop, with PS5 dropping a little more, but they were mostly good.
300% is a big number!

Yes. I mean the loading times were really good (almost instant on PS5) but it doesn't really matter in the end, both are fast enough and you wouldn't be loading often anyway.I really can't read people online anymore. Is that last sentence sarcasm?
Yeah I agree, I shouldn't have started a RE8 debate. I was just trying to say the PS5 wasn't better.I’d say they were pretty much identical where framerate is concerned except for that one area. But even then the two were extremely close with the XSX only being ahead a tiny bit.
The biggest difference was in the load times. But I would consider that pretty insignificant due to how infrequent they are.
I thought the 4k fidelity mode had RT shadows? The RT shadows are the biggest change in this version.
Sadly they didn’t put it in 4k30 mode… this mod eis useless now and a 4k30RT should be awesome even if dynamic around 1800p.
Well when he was caught faking the FPS results in the past, this was in favor of one platform which happened to be XSX... There is a reason that his channel is banned here (but nobody seem to care about it and continue to post his videos anyway).ElAnalistaDeBits is not a console war on favor Xbox or PS5... It's just bad...

The RT Performance mode seems like the best mode and the easy go to IMO.
Even Alex thinks it's the best version, better than the PC Ultra experience, now.
Well, yeah when you put it like that 300% seems large
But the actual metrics are 2~3 seconds to 5~6 seconds.

Wait Open Surprise is treated like a reputable source now? The guy who posted this shameless lie in his Elden Ring XSX vs PS5 comparison video?
"Better graphics and higher resolution" Right, perfect. All after VGtech, NXgamer and DF stated/demonstrated the contrary... Have some standarts people.

Indeed. His video was posted above as a source for loading times much to my surprise.
Sore green rat ass titis! How is this thread suddenly about Xbox despite that version not being discussed in the title or the OP?
It's a sickness.

Why not compare maxed-out PC to XSX version for a change?
They went with the more popular consoleYou know why. Because XSX struggles in this game in demanding scenes and they want to hide that version as much as they can.
He regularly claimed exaggeratedly higher resolution on one X analysis than reality, sometimes also sold 1440p on both one X and Pro, 1800p in the MS console. More recently he spotted higher AF in some XSX games even where was the exact contrary compared the ps5. Also I remind all the disdain about the FPS in some Bethesda games via BC by the same Xbox users and how he rushed the release of a video where "proved" steady FPS (thanks his broken tools). If we want to look to those as naive mistakes ok, but I see a common pattern in his errors.ElAnalistaDeBits is not a console war on favor Xbox or PS5... It's just bad...
He just rushing video to be the "first" (like Cycu1)... this is the garbage of comparison videogame version.
DF, VGTech and NXGamer is the only guys I watch
TL;DR:
- PS5 has a new per object motion blur that made this version smoother than previous releases.
- Much better image quality than it has before than to new TAA method, comparable to the PC using a much more expensive AA and sometimes even better than PC running in 4K. Ambient Occlusion has benn also improved even compared to the PC version maxed out. Shadows are also much better since it uses RT shadows never seen before. AF is still lower than PC and geometry LOD is similar to PS4.
- Three modes available: high performance mode, high performance RT and Fidelity mode. All modes seem to perform very well.
Ok here are direct loading captures from each version. Loading right from the main menu where you can select Online or Story. No skipping logos or Quick Resume here. These are cold boots. The loading times are identical. Loxus please point out wheee the Xbox version is a minute. It’s less than 30 seconds on both.
PS5 - 86.8GB
XSX - 87.8GB
The two versions are virtually identical.
Have you seen those Series console load times with this game?
5 seconds? OK gonna need some proof of that.I've been playing it everyday since release on series x and I couldn't tell you what the load times are since it supports quick resume I load up the game and I'm playing in about 5 seconds lol, looks and plays amazing too
Never mind.Doesent it run at 4k30 on the Xbox ONE X? Maybe not ultra settings but looks pretty damn good im sure they can get a respectable 4k60 on next gen
5 seconds? OK gonna need some proof of that.
They think its 4k on Xbox One X...
Not 5 seconds per say, but in the grand scheme of avoiding the 30 seconds boot + 20~30 seconds load from menu.
It may as well be instantaneously resuming exactly where you left.
Quick Resume is fantastic. My favorite system level feature of the next gen (along with VRR).
Is there? I did not watch the video but they didn’t say in the article.I thought the 4k fidelity mode had RT shadows?

That is great if true… the article didn’t say it.Fidelity does have RT shadows. In fact they are slightly sharper due to the native 4K resolution they have to work with. Alex mentions this in the video.
Fidelity
Perf RT
