I have a feeling we will find out real soon.
He made a stupid avatar bet, too.Jaffe aiming to piss off the other place even more with that thumbnail. I'm sure there's a deplatforming thread already.
He hates Trump so when he predicted GoWR would slip to 2023, he bet his chat he’d wear a MAGA hat on stream for a week if it comes out in 2022. Looks like he’s gonna have to wear the hat lolJaffe aiming to piss off the other place even more with that thumbnail. I'm sure there's a deplatforming thread already.
how soon?
PainOver the next few months.
And when we all say we don't want politics in games, those who have emotional damage feel the need to somehow shoehorn them into gaming related content. He hates Trump so when he predicted GoWR would slip to 2023, he bet his chat he’d wear a MAGA hat on stream for a week if it comes out in 2022. More Ragnarok merchandise. This time for a release date of June and July.
There's no way this is 2023.
This is so weird...it feels like Sony is getting ready for a release that could happen any day but we know nothing about it, lmao.

They said over 25 games in different stages of development (very likely not counting ports, remasters or VR games), meaning some of them won't be released until maybe 5 or 6 years after they said that."WE HAVE 25 GAMES BEING MADE"
Could you start respecting people's opinions?Could you stop being annoying for once?
They aren't even showing games that aparently will release this year. Jimbo is more confortable operating in the shadows.Weird marketing

You don’t deserve my respect.
Just joking.
Anyways you keep pushing the idea that those games don’t exist. They do but you’re just being extremely impatient. The annoying part is that you keep pushing this on is over and over again.
Do you want these games to come out or not?
Serious question.
I hate this drip feed strategy
I know the games will come, but sometimes it feels....annoying
I like the Nintendo way: cards on the table, here are the games. No messing around

In most cases, in recent years they only shown games that were apro.x maximum a year and a half from then. They focus on marketing short term key games, both 1st and 3rd party exclusives and key multiplatform AAA and indies who have marketing deals with them.
They also have their consoles constantly sold out, so maybe they prefer to save hype bullets for later, once they have consoles available.
According to Hermen Hulst, a Guerrilla cofounder whom Jim Ryan tapped to lead PlayStation Studios in 2019, the group has more than 25 titles in development for the PS5—nearly half of which are entirely new IP. “There’s an incredible amount of variety originating from different regions,” Hulst says. “Big, small, different genres.”
Housemarque isn’t even a first-party developer; what’s coming from the collection of companies under the PlayStation Studios umbrella bears out the breadth and depth of the pipeline. In June, Insomniac will follow up Miles Morales with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, the newest installment in its long-running platform shooter franchise.
Notice they aren't "the 25", they are "the MORE THAN 25". As I remember Hermen also mentioned it in a couple of places more, I'd bet in another interview and in a PS Blog post. And Jimbo I think also mentioned it.about the 25 games
Agreed. Sony has so much high-quality stuff in the pipeline, it's crazy. This will be an amazing generation for PlayStation gamers. We need some context here. This was said in a Wired interview published in may last year when talking about Sony studios alone. His full quote was this:
In the previous paragraph from that article, they were clear to separate other 1st party games from Sony's own studios when they said
That sentence about the 25 games wasn't applied to exclusive games overall. The "over 25 games" was specifically to Sony Studios alone (probably included remasteres, remakes and VR2). Since May 12 (article date) Sony acquired Bluepoint and Housemarque in June, Nixxes in July, Firesprite and Fabrik Games in September, Valkyrie Entertainment in December, Bungie in January and Haven studios in March this year. The data is completely outdated at this point.
PlayStation Studios at this point have over 30 games in production for sure. Even if you divide 30 games for 6 years, that's 5 games a year.
We already know they will release 12 GaaS games until 2026. That's 12 games for 5 years and we ain't even counting everything else.
PlayStation is holding all the cards right now and we have no idea what's coming...not even the damn Ragnarok date. They are at that point where they could just do a 2 hour conference with VR2 stuff, AAA-titles only (1st party) plus 3rd party exclusives like Final Fantasy XVI and have one of the biggest and best conferences that gaming has ever seen...they just choose not to because their srategy changed completely.
Yes, they don't need to build up hype and "bother" developers to create gameplay demos while their own consoles are selling out everything...and yes, revealing everything is a bad idea.Agreed. Sony has so much high-quality stuff in the pipeline, it's crazy. This will be an amazing generation for PlayStation gamers.
To your point, Sony can do a two-hour show and reveal everything that's coming, but that's a poor strategy. Because that means they will have one banger show that will drop jaws, but most subsequent shows will be meh because there won't be big surprises. By spreading out these reveals, they can maintain that momentum.
Also, it's important to realize that Sony is intentionally holding things for as long as they can, and that is directly tied to the console shortage. They want to keep some announcements for 2023/2024 (much closer to the actual release dates of those unannounced games) for when the console supply shortage is over.
my guess they dont want to show too early as things thing to changeWeird marketing

The real question is are we putting Knack avatars on #team2023 or Jim Ryan laughing?
MW2What's coming in October? Most likely God of War will be bigger than most releases...
No point for Team Delay. No trailer at State of Play. One point for team delay. Maybe saved for Geoff's show? If its a no-show there either well...
You better hope @bryan75k doesn't find this post, he will hunt you.God of War Ragnarok will be a 2023 game,
for PC.

They are waiting for the next SOP or similar PlayStation event. Doubt it’s something they will drop in a random blog post but I could be wrong.
We’re in June, there are more 6 months in this year, there’s plenty of time to make a 3 month marketing schedule and release.A big game like this, they won't be releasing it one month after announcing the final release date.
The more a release announcement gets pushed back, the more likely it becomes that this may be a 2023 game.

Why next week? I don't think we're getting anything GoW-related next week. Hopefully in July or August.also to anyone who doesn't think GoW will be shown next week you are crazy.
I don't know Gt 7 had a state of play only a month before its release, it already had a release though but I don't see why the game would be getting pushed back again.Christopher Judge seems to have recovered so there is no apparent reason for a further delay...I might be wrong though.Sure, but we have no idea if/when a state of play for Ragnarok is coming.
If they're gonna put the show in September, the odds of the game slipping to 2023 will be very high.

If we don't get a date in Geoff's event this ain't getting released this year. We'll find out in a few days.
Yeah...i too was surprised that Ragnarok wasn't present on a State of Play for 3rd party / multiplatform / VR2 games. (not)No trailer at State of Play. One point for team delay. Maybe saved for Geoff's show? If its a no-show there either well...
Release date announcement at Geoff's show, gameplay in their own show.I don't see why Sony would opt to have their marquee first party game have a release date announcement at Keighley's event and not their own.
