Eurogamer why our Starfield: review will be late (DF unaffected and will be on time)

Excerpt from Eurogamer’s future review:

“I was given the option to kiss Sarah. I’m not sure why anybody would even think about doing such a thing without getting explicit verbal permission first, but I decided to try it just for journalistic purposes. It made me feel so gross and icky.”

DF are stil in the good graces of MS as long as they’re not too harsh on them.

Publishers are free to send out review codes to whomever they want. This has nothing to do with free and open journalism you crybaby.

Of course it has everything to do with free and open journalism if publishers deny journalists review copy because of corporate grudges!

Why is positive about this story? Why wouldn’t every gamer want the widest possible selection of reviews for every game?

Is this what fanboyism does to your brain? You can’t think about what’s good for gamers, but can only see the world in terms of perceived ‘enemies’ of the precious brand you’ve hitched your self-identity to?

Google how many publishers block outlets, you'll be surprised.
What, because I was born yesterday? I don’t care that happens too often, that doesn’t make it any less egregious.

I’ve been around for a long time and everytime this corporate malpractice comes up it is criticised and rightfully so.

Apart from here it seems, because this place is absolutely infested with fanboy zombies.

These are trash click bait publications. They are free to do a review once the early access drops. Noone is restricting them from putting out a review. Stop crying man jesus.

Fanboyism? I dont even own a console. What about you though? You keep negatively posting about this game, why don't you go post in threads about games you love and look forward to?

It doesn’t matter what you think of the publications, whatever lunatic nonsense has riled you up - publishers shouldn’t be picking and choosing outfits that get review code, if they value their customers being able to be fully informed.

Funny when all the woke propaganda comes from USA, and actually started there to slowly reach Europe now.
I'm not American, I was purposely shitting on Eurogamer due to the woke ideology they've apparently implemented as of late. I can't be too sure as I'm not a visitor of their website and only focus on Digital Foundry content, which may be the only thing keeping them afloat.

Companies are free to send products out for review to whomever they want.

Once you stop crying and realize that, you maybe will stop hate posting about this game. Like I said, all I've seen you do is hate post about this game.

And you insult me of being a fanboy haha. Another clown to add to the ignore list.

Stop it! M Montauk was actually criticizing me for talking about a negative thing about Starfield. Now you're pointing fingers at him, blaming him, when he himself has been very excited to play Starfield? This is super weird.

You guys have made everyone a villain who talks anything negative about the things you like.

It is OKAY to talk about the positives and negatives about a video game. Please don't make these video games or a corporation a part of your identity.

The scary part when someone is acting like gaming is real life is that these guys also play CoD and TLOU etc. It scares me to think what goes on in their brain when they do a head shot.

Eh, I find anyone crying about free press in regards to early review copies of a videogame to be a bit much. Good that he's excited but I disagree with his comments and don't think I'll lose much by ignoring him.

Do people that post duplicate MS/Xbox concern threads get a warning or a ban every once in a while, or is there some kind of unexplained "pass" and they get away with a silent deletion of the thread ?

Not the first time by the way.

Curious to know what the rule is about these.

The thread was deleted. If a guy repeatedly creates threads that the mods have to delete then I'm pretty sure they will send him a message saying cut it out.

I didn't know making a Hogwarts Legacy review was a conditional for making reviews of other games.

But yes, he never made one, because again WB did not send him a code.

No.
But its a similar situation here. Tell me, what stops them from buying the game and review themselves? I don't think companies can stop them, at least not that I know.

Now, if in Skill Up case is a clear case of choice, then I think he has every right to not review the game. But people also have the right to criticise him from not doing so, because it tells alot about his integrity/profissionalism.

Yeah yeah we get it, you don’t give a shit about journalism and gamers being fully informed consumers because somebody at EG once wrote a sentence you didn’t like and you’ve been REEEEEing ever since.

Please god put me on ignore, you’re a terrible poster.

Eurogamer, VG247 and RockPaperShotgun have all been shitting on the game in their articles for months.

Bethesda apparantly also has an issue with the parent company of all these websites, ReedPOP.

What that issue is, we don't know.

But when VG247 writes shit like this in their articles

Who can blame them?
Ironic how they named every big action rpg but not stuff like elex or piranha bite games that is the closest thing to a bethesda experience...

Nothing, just a late review since by the time they play and write it it probably doesn't matter much for sales or hits.

It tells you zero about his integrity or professionalism, he’s not obligated to review every game people want him to review.

What, is he your employee? Your slave? Do you own him?
