I don't believe the amount of work will be a problem; but whether they need recognizable voice overs to deliver a risk-less voice over, or whether they can have an independent team handle the job. It's purely a matter of cost. I guess a well known voice actor will charge much much more for even a smaller job compared to less known actors hired even for longer lengths.
I guess that's why Atlus so easily port almost all of their games, despite some of them having a lot of text and voice, while expecting them not to sell much.
Originally I was gonna wait a few weeks til I finish Project X Zone and Persona 4 Golden before getting this, but after reading all the positive impressions I now eagerly want to get a copy even if it means I have to juggle between 3 different RPGs. Just when I feel this way now the game is sold out everywhere
I just had a delivery there and thought it was them, but it was some replacement parts for something I have from Goodsmile. Probably better it didn't arrive today as I've got a cold that's making me feel horrible.
The character models they used aren't really human enough for an upskirt to matter. They are chibi style and while they look nice they aren't what people would really care about when talking about upskirts.
Finally moved on with the story. Did something stupid and wasted a powerful friend summon on an "event battle" (the ones you are not supposed to win). Goddamn it, Ive always hated event battles as this happens every single fucking time.
In anycase though good story and am looking forward to seeing how things progress now that am on the 3rd chapter.
Currently lv 43, though need to spend more time filling the coffers again. Wasted about 20k worth of cash on purchasing some other pieces of gear that will help out for the current area. Time to make a full merchant party and sell attempt to sell a ton of ethers I stole
Yeah based on what I've been told there is no real need for a NG+.
Mega Spoilers.
Time travel is involved and you repeat Chapters 5 and 6 like 4-5 times(Which means lots of boss fights). One person said this is basically Hayashi pulling a Stein's Gate.
Also the real meaning of Flying Fairy is revealed. Be wary. Again Mega spoilers.
The fairy character Airy is basically the main villain persay in a plot twist where she almost tricks the heroes into destroying the world. Furthermore if you get rid of the F's in the 2nd half of the title you get "Lying Airy". You see there is a final chapter and a final "true" chapter, revealing the true final boss.
If the journey is not a happy one, you don't have a good story to keep you entwined. You are just a button pressing monkey watching a story you already know

I've managed to avoid the actual spoilers but from what I understand you
play the game over again in a single playthrough?
And it seems expected because of the writer's style? That's definitely not going to go over well with some people, maybe even most in the west since we don't get 5pb's visual novels. Then again, people did take a liking to
Radiant Historia.
Edit: Added spoilers just in case people don't want to know that detail even if it's without context.
Like everyone else I'm madly crossing my fingers for this one to come overseas. Any impressions on the characters? What are their personalities are like and how well is the characterization done?

Not so far into the game but basically, in my opinion:
Agnes: A priestess who was raised by nuns. She's reserved, cautious, wise, and doesn't know much about the wider world outside her temple. Everyone she ever new is
basically dead.
She doesn't want Tizz to join her for his safety, and doesn't 100% trust Ringabel or Idea.
Tizz: A young shepard, whose village is destroyed in the opening scenes, along with everyone he ever knew. He's trying to rebuild his village (which forms the village mechanic parrakeetman has been talking about). He's a bit quiet, but hot headed. Sincere.
Idea: She
betrays her country after seeing how they will go to any lengths to capture Agnes.
She's concerned with what is black and what is white, in the moral sense. She's a bit of a hot head and wants to constantly dive right into battle. She doesn't take any of Ringabel's crap.
Ringabel: Womanizing lady's man. Constantly talking in reference to woman (And like to fight that monster like I'd date a woman! Passionately! Tizz, are you building places to go on dates in the new village? - he doesn't say those things exactly, but stuff like it). No memory of events prior to the hole appearing, but he has the D Notebook which contains information on the future - he uses it to convince the others to allow him to join him. He's the oldest of them too, at around 18.
They're quite good and the party chat convos give a good sense of group dynamics and personalities, which can't always be explored in the main stories. Support characters are generally interesting and well voiced and characterized.
I don't mind some spoilers either. Even if I do get spoiled accidentally if it's a game I'm really into I enjoy finding out how things got to that point.
Maybe Streets means that he's passionate deep down? That's kind of the vibe I got from one of his trailer lines -- calm, but there are things he really feels strongly about. Anyway, much thanks for the write-up. Very interested to see how the game uses the concept of "defaulting" on your ideas with this cast.

BD also does a really good job with characterizing the villains as well. There's just a huge number of them, all voiced and all with their own weird quirks and backstory. They don't all get tons of time, but it's refreshing to see fun villains come out of a SE RPG again.
In particular, I'm really digging
the creepy ass Victoria and her buddy Victor. God they're weird
So my copy finally arrived and it arrived on the day I've come down with a massively horrible viral infection and feel like I've been run over by 10 buses.
