I gotta say, I'm finally starting to see a lot of Wii U stuff around. No demo units in my town, but a lot of signs. Yesterday I saw a huge billboard for Meijer (which is about an hour away, and usually Meijer isn't on that billboard, just for Wii U perhaps?) and they had a Wii U next to their logo. And today I went to Wal-Mart for the first time in a while and they had an entire case cleared out for the Wii U with a big poster covering the empty glass that said "coming soon, Nov 18th, how U will play next", plus they had a bunch of Wii U ad stickers on the area by the pre-paid game cards.
I also asked an employee about it (there was actually two standing there) and they said that they couldn't put anymore in layaway, and they weren't sure how many they would get. They also said demand has been huge -- they also seemed very knowledgeable about it, which is a surprise because they were older people that you wouldn't expect to keep track of the Wii U. So, basically I guess Nintendo hasn't had much rolled out around stores but that seems like it's changing. Keep in mind I live in a small norther town without much but Wal-Mart, and it's pretty common for nobody to know anything about new tech products, as well as have zero interest in buying such products.
