? What cover would that be?

The colorful flip cover you can put on S3 just like the iPad!

I really don't get why you would want to put a cover on a phone (aside from the fact you want to cover up that ugly S3 design). To me smartphone is something you pull out of your pocket to check quickly for call, message etc. Flip cover just seems so strange for an accessories. I can see it on the Note as that thing is half phone half tablet.

For anyone with a 820 series Lumia, I have a 822 and I notice that every once in a while whenever I get a text or email the notification sound will have a crackle to it. I can go into sounds and about every third or fourth time I playa notification tone it will pop or crackle.

just wondering if anyone else had this before I go to Verizon to swap it out.

So my Windows account region was changed from USA to Canada and none of my app purchases followed through. My purchase history is just blank. :(

Called to my carrier, who told me to just "take out the sim card for a moment, that should fix it". It didn't. My MMS settings are borked, too, so I ultimately had to resort to a hard reset, confident my contacts and such are stored on Outlook.

But now the damn phone can't connect to Microsoft. "Maybe the problem is on our end," they say. Then fix it, dammit, because this is getting ridiculous.

Got a Samsung Galaxy S3. Sorry NeoGAF WP friends.

Two years from now GAF, we will see the state of Windows Phone, and if I like it, I'll come back.

For fucks sake, I just sacrificed all my apps and two hours of my time getting my phone in order for fucking nothing. Now I get to call customer service again, yay.

I have a weird feeling that I'll be living with this phone all the way until I get back to my hometown instead of doing an upgrade. No contract to renew, nothing to pay, nothing nothing...

Not sure how thats a copy of the smart cover... it replaces the back of the phone and is a solid piece. There is no equivalent for the iPhone..either. S3 design is a matter of taste. Looks fine to me. But whatever.

Sure, whatever. Samsung have great original design.

Today both my mother's yellow Lumia 920 and my sister's boyfriend's blue HTC 8X arrived. Since both require my help to set everything up, I've played with the 920 for most of the day and now have both phones lying on my desk.

The thin, matte 8X is great, but I think I love the 920 more. It is heavy, but I'm okay with the size and weight (and so is my mother). Nokia's exclusive apps really seal the deal.

This is awfully tempting...ack. don't know if I can go back to robbers from Bell. Sigh.

If it wouldn't have cost me a fortune I would have switched to Bell and got an 8X. Not a fan of the way Rogers limited the color options. Plus I think Bell probably has better network coverage in Alberta.

Next time I may switch. It is great deal for the 920 though.

Yeah. Bell coverage is better as is their lte network. I can do an early upgrade to an 8x for about $300. Just not sure about the color. It looks nice but a bit to colorful for a grown male or am I being silly.? LOL. If I switch to rogers and cancel Bell it will cost close to $600.. about the cost of buying a 920 off contract. Just so hard to buy it outright though.

I'm 34 and would have no issue using the blurple 8X :lol

edit: you could also get a case, but that ruins the design if these phones imo

Uhm ...

But seriously, colors are awesome. No need to be afraid of what other people might think.

I know where Zedge is coming from. I'm secure enough to have a coloured phone but I'm just not feeling that purple colour of the 8X.

It's become a joke when black is an exclusive phone colour.

Apparently the 920 is going to be $0.00 on contract through Black Friday at Best Buy Canada.

URghhhh Black only.... If it applies to upgrades too I'd be pretty tempted.

Edit: If it's $0 + $100 gift card like the Galaxy SIII on renewal it might be too hard to resist.

I don't think clav ever owned a WP. If I recall, his problem is Sprint. No other reason to get a GS3 otherwise, its been out for a while now.

I have a Windows Phone running 6.5.3 for the past three years. 528 MHz Processor.

GS3 is considered for a while? I must be old.

Haha..dont hate me because I'm boring. The kid has the blue 8x. It's awesome looking. Just not sure for myself. Why can't they have the black one in 16 GB. I would take a red Lumia in a heart beat though. :p

Yeah, I would have liked a red as well, would have killed for Cyan though. My buddy really wants a yellow 920, which there are some rumors Rogers may be getting.

Just read that Nokia Drive is still not available for HTC 8x and other phones.

I can't live without Nokia Drive. Please tell me it's coming soon like 5 days soon FFFFFFFFFF.

Woooo. Where did you get it from?

Rogers store in Sunridge. The $0 sealed it. Cancelling Bell will cost a bit less than buying one outright and going through the hassle of unlocking it. I think I actually ended up with a better plan too.

Jealous! Ordered mine last Friday and it's still processing. Got the Cyan and I'm 29 years old! Suck it!

Haha! You crazy. ;)

So now that the kid and I both have WP8 phones we tried out this "rooms" thing. Very cool, you can share notes, pictures, calendar events, chat etc.

That's cool that they offered that price as well.

Heh, oh well.

We should create a GAF WP8 room.. :D

LOL.. my first thought when I held the phone was damn its heavy... That went away pretty quick though. Its just so solid like a tank, love it.

Glad you like it. Curious to hear how your battery is.

edit: a GAF room would be a cool way to share preview pics.
