This is one question I've never seen definitively answered: Is there any home version of Donkey Kong faithful to the original Arcade version? I'm just now remembering that the only times I've even played DK1 were on a cabinet at my uncle's house and a flash version.
I understand Nintendo lost the rights to that code somewhere along the time which is why they can't re-release it, but did anyone ever make an arcade-perfect port (same question for Street Fighter II)?
According to the Wiki particle the last home edition based on the arcade version (and not a previous port, like the NES version) was included in Donkey Kong 64. Is that it?
Edit: The 3DS game is based on the NES version.
