There's also no real reason to assume it would be. B2/W2 were made by the remake team, Game Freak's been experimenting with the 3DS hardware with games like Harmoknight, and they were among the first with the dev kits.
B2/W2 happened to fill the gap, since Gen V would've been very short without more titles to fill out the rosters, and the DS is essentially dead now. If it's a handheld game, it would be downright stupid for it to be on DS.

Well, I guess they could show something, even a teaser. Morimoto will be there.

Whenever there's a mystery announcement like this that everyone's hyped about, I want it to end up being something really lame and disappointing.
I love Pokemon, but I'd rather see a GAF meltdown than something awesome announced. What's wrong with me?!

It's such a wildcard. Seriously, I don't know what to think.
One time, there are 10 threads and 5 countdowns and everyone are freaking out, trying to decipher how that particular old episode might be a hint to an announcement, and then nothing.
Then some other, we just casually go in because of some rumors, believing that CoroCoro will be the one to break the news while Smash just repeats everything next week. Then, the first numbered sequels in the franchise are dropped OUT OF NOWHERE and everyone are blown away like they just remembered Venomoth exists.
Really, anything can happen. There's a countdown, but that really isn't 100%.

One thing that could give credence to the rumour is the Evee based starter, as there seems to be a lot of Evee promotion lately. Still, I don't particularly like that idea. I believe the starters should all be unique to one another, even if they could use new type changes.
I do like that they're set in space colonies though, as the versions could be called something like Pokemon Mars and Pokemon Venus, haha.

Still don't want it to be true
Well, the only that I think that the rumor isn't true is about the anime. If the games are on the future what will happen to Ash? Also, even thought that would be a true evolution for the franchise, if the games are on the future every new entry must be on the future too in order to have gen 6 pokemon. I liked the idea of digital type, but I don't want Pokemon of the future...

Although it doesn't have the Zoroark silhouette reveal date on there. I could probably get the date that came about, because I remember taking a snapshot at that moment and posting it in one of the earier threads.

Maybe they could finally retire Ash? That would be an evolution after all, and it's been a long time coming. A bit risky, but at least it'd give the anime a much needed kick in the pants to escape it's repetitiveness. As for the future aspect? I guess some planets could be inspired by present day, or even medieval times? I've heard a few fans wish for a Pokemon set back in ye old days. But, again, I aren't too big on the rumour. I DO wish for customizable trainers though. Hell, it'd be stupid for it not to happen.
Hell, Ash is what's holding the anime back the most. Even Team Rocket got a lot of development during Best Wishes.
Thats Europe. What about Africa, South America and Australia?
You'll get your Jynx, Ludicolo, and Kangaskhan starters and you will like them.
EDIT: It's kind of weird (or completely normal?) that Pokemon, after 15+ years, has generated this mass of overaged fans that they can't really take advantage of other than the games.

Feels like the reveal was yesterday. Would be fitting, since the next gen reveal will be in 3 days.

I'm still salty about how disappointed I was in B/W. It was weird, because my disappointment stemmed primarily from what the game wasn't and I'm not normally like that.
I played it on my 3DS and not being able to:
1) Use Streetpass
2) Use the circle pad effectively
3) Use the 3D effect at all
Really killed my mojo.
Infinite-use TMs were a step in the right direction, but what with there still being HMs and having several other archaic throwbacks and inconsistent UI dealios in there were just icing on the cake. It just soured me on the whole experience.
EDIT: Oh wait, Raikou! It's been so long now since HGSS that I'm starting to forget 'mons. I also skipped BW2

The only competent HMs imo are Fly and Surf.

Yeah - it's different, due to the show changing its time and DST over here.
But it may be wise anyway to skip the first 30 minutes if you're in a rush. Or skip the first 55 minutes, heh.
