As beautiful as Penelope is, you just can't bet against Salma, she is indeed an aztec goddess

Jesus CHRIST hahaha, this thread.

Not sure who's keeping the score, but Salma Hayek has my vote as well.

P.S.

Why are former Spanish and Portuguese American colonies known as "Latin" instead of "Iberian" or something else? French colonies would have as much right to that title since it's also a romance language. Where does this terminology originate from, historically?

Now 2 years ago I would have said Salma without a shadow of a doubt but after watching that Woody Allen movie with Penelope Cruz I was fucking dumbfounded. I always thought she was hot but not that hot. People need to watch that movie. I probably would still say Salma but it is a closer fight now.

came to post nearly exactly that. the film isn't particularly good but she's incredible looking in it.

Countrys like Guyana are also known as Latinamerican, and I had a teacher that once told me that at the end of the XIX century a lot of Italians were emigrating to countries such as Argentina or Uruguay, and the latinamerican term was used to give a sense of union between the Southamerican countries (especially because a lot of them were newborn countries as a result of all the revolutions in that century) and soon the centroamerican and north american countries up to Mexico started to adopt it. So the language was a big factor in the formation of the term, but it was more as a result of the mix of those especific european countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy and France) and the american ones

I think you have to blame Napoleon for that.
But i guess, because both Spain, Portugal an France had colonies there, they lumped them all together?

I'm with the Anti-Monitor here. Penelope is not ugly, but I have seen several regular Spanish girls being far more beautiful and I personally don't feel too much her ultra angular face. She does have class, but Salma on her prime was really something else and I like girls with curves, so Salma wins *bow*
Yeah. Compared to lots and lots of spanish celebrities over here, Penelope is very average.

TAM is a contender in this thread tho
Naw, people have posted way better pics. Monica is prettier than Penelope but still has nothing compared to Salma.

The scene as Satanico Pandemonium wins this singlehandedly.

However given that some of you didn't know Penelope had a sister, a lot of you might not know that Penelope has a bunch of topless sex scenes.

When I went on holiday to Madrid with my boys there were quite a few women about who were prettier than Penelope. With less makeup and that too. (I need to go back asap, lol).

Salma, easily.

Because of this:

The idea was later taken up by Latin American intellectuals and political leaders of the mid- and late-nineteenth century, who no longer looked to Spain or Portugal as cultural models, but rather to France.[8] The term was first used in Paris in an 1856 conference by the Chilean politician Francisco Bilbao[9] and the same year by the Colombian writer José María Torres Caicedo in his poem "Two Americas.[10] The term Latin America was supported by the French Empire of Napoleon III during the French invasion of Mexico, as a way to include France among countries with influence in America and to exclude Anglophone countries, and played a role in his campaign to imply cultural kinship of the region with France, transform France into a cultural and political leader of the area, and install Maximilian of Habsburg as emperor of the Second Mexican Empire.[11] This term was also baptized[clarification needed] in 1861 by French scholars in La revue des races Latines, a magazine dedicated to the Pan-Latinism movement.[

I don't know what Penelope did to qualify as competition for Salma, but it couldn't have been legal. This is like sticking a baby in the ring with a prizefighter.

As spaniard none of them, I don't like the latin style and I don't like the Penelope's gypsy look.
There are more and more beautiful dames over here.

Neither of them have fake tits. One gave birth and has been blessed enough to keep them. The other one just gained a little bit of weight since her 1990s debut and has been blessed enough for it to go to the right places.

And this thread is absolutely sinister. I will not partake in it.

She prayed for her boobs. God is good.

Napoleonic France - self aggrandazing propaganda crap term, in the same vein of "Freedom fries" or Americo Vespucci's "look guys, I am the first person to ever figure out America was a different country" (note: lol, no). Napoleon III coined the term in order to claim "historical rights" over Spanish and Portugese colonies, mainly during the whole Maximilian affair (see guys? We also contributed to colonize America too, just like you! Now let me install a puppet regime in Mexico plz), and the term catched on because of the huge world wide influence of France during that historical period.

I frankly dislike that term, for it is quite inaccurate and semantically wrong: following that logic, Canada and New Orleans would be also part of "Latin America", not to mention that the idea of equating the French cultural influence over the region at the same level of Spain and Portugal or even Italy and Englad (just compare the size of Jamaica with the French Guiana); is laughable.
