I'm in the US and a CD that shipped out from CD Japan via EMS on 12/18 didn't get here until 1/5 - a few days after I left for the event I needed it for.
That long for EMS? That sucks >_<
Anywho, my copy finally arrived today.
Saw the post woman literally toss the package into my door. Took every urge to not go after her and yell at her (she did the same thing with a package of my mother's last week).

To be honest I've thought about doing that myself, as well as getting a Japanese 3DS. Region locking and restriction sucks.

I'm sure there are deputy services who will operate on your behalf to get it through SegaStore, which seems to be the real exclusive outlet here.
And yeah, actually isn't THAT big of a thing, this item. I'm a bigger fan of this artwork of Miku by KEI though, which I guess is just overblown reaction on my part. ._.

Really tempted, but $200-ish is probably going to be too much to drop in March so I'll probably just go for AmiAmi.

If you want another option, I'm going to end up with multiple copies of the game as I am seeking multiple pre-order bonuses. If you don't mind receiving the game sans bonuses I will probably be selling the extra copies off.

Yeah don't like PA these days. They were selling miku vitas for like $750 O_O Sad thing is that I nearly bought one out of desperation lol. Luckily I was able to grab one for a better price in Japan

As much as the bonuses are pretty cool, it's not worth an arm and a leg for em in my current situation. The game is the part that matters most to me.

The best you can do to not purchase a game you'll regret later is to listen to some vocaloid themed songs on the net.
I'm not in a position to post links ATm but i will if you ask.
Ignore the first project diva on PSP , all that game content exist in "Project diva 2nd" so you might start with this one .
"project diva extend" is also another good place to start..but i'm not a fan of the playlist.
"project diva f" on vita is yet another place to start thanks to the low entry level with to numerous help items that trully make the experience easier.
For all these 3 games there are place to get enough information to navigate even if you don't know japanese. and the psp games have been soft patched by the community for translation ( menus only )
"Project diva mirai" is not import friendly because you need a japanese 3ds
All the "project diva dreamy theater" games are also not import friendly even if they are on ps3 because they require a copy of the psp games saves to progress and unlock content
The "project diva F" on ps3 that star creator is talking about up there is import friendly and doesn't require a vita game. so this game is another good choice.
No project diva games on NDS,360,Wii,WiiU At this point of time.

Really tempted to buy this from yesasia for £41. I've not imported a game in years but like rhythm games so I'm close to pulling the trigger.

While I'm in import mode are there any other Japanese games that are considered must haves but also have to factor in I dont speak Japanese so this would limit my options.

I'd highly reccomend Project Diva f. Not only is it a very well made rhythm game but its presentation is really nice too. If you've never played a Miku rhythm game then it's even better because you are starting from scratch when it comes to the gameplay style and it will take a pretty long time before you can master it, even if you have a decent amount of previous rhythm game experience. One negative thing I can think of is that there are only 32 songs, but it isn't that bad because the songs are pretty long.
I need to start playing it again, but I've been distracted with DJMAX Technika Tune. If you haven't picked that up yet, I'd reccomend that as well. The gameplay is fun, there are 67 songs, all with three or four difficulty levels each and the presentation is really nice. I enjoy it more than Project Diva, but that's mainly because it's more challenging.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm very tempted but will also check out DJ max as well. I take it there isnt too much of a problem navigating menus in these games?
I'm pretty sure you can turn on an english mode for DJMAX no matter what region you import it from, and even if you couldn't there really aren't any menus to navigate and most of it is done through pictures and icons anyways.
You also won't have any trouble with Hatsune Miku either really because there are visable icons that basically tell you what you're doing.
If you want to play songs, click on music note, etc.

The newest Famitsu finally confirms Senbonzakura and Rin-chan Nau! as songs coming to DIVA F (not like we didn't already know this for months). Senbonzakura apparently has a module for every character. Weekly Diva Station should be showing them to us before long.
