Whoever masters that combo and goes to a Tag Tournament will clean house. Juggle endlessly with no gravity falling because Ayane/Kasumi switching puts you back in the air? GG Team Ninja.

The prospect of tag being quite good competitively is quite exciting to me. There should be even more guaranteed options than 1.03 due to canceling move recovery, right?

Looks great for a portable game. I haven't kept up with the graphical capability of the 3DS and the Vita.

Can we all agree that the "I'm a fighter" tagline is pretty lame?

Amazing graphics if legit (The beach ones definitely are, but it's harder to tell with these).

Now someone explain why MvC and SFxT look like they do.


Also, the cheerleader costumes are actually pretty neat.

umvc3 looks alright. the hit effects, lasers, and whatnot could look a lot better. sfxt looks decent imo.

this game though... looks gorgeous. day 1 buy. have they announced a CE or anything?

SFxT looks pretty good actually, yeah. I just went to look at it, and it looks a lot better than I remembered.

Didn't they completely kill the backgrounds in MvC though? I seem to remember them being entirely static in the Vita version.

Marcel's backgrounds are 75% static, but the game's IQ is a lot better than SFxT's.

It probably sounded a lot better to native japanese speakers, but it kinda falls short.
It sounds like it was partly meant as a mission statement to get the game to be taken more seriously, but for every different person you ask you're likely to get a different answer on where they failed.

I've been playing ranked more. Why is it that when I win a match, I gain like 70 points yet am docked like 700 whenever I lose? What formula do they use?

I've been wondering this too. I think it's maybe based more heavily on their win percentage than their grade points?

They're legit, they're using a PS3->PSP2 downgrade app and the off-camera side-views of the portable version are compariable from the alphas shown. A few less polygons, but nothing you're going to miss since they still look good.

As for "I'm a fighter" it works in Japanese, it's only clunky in English. It should've been "we're fighters" or something like that.

The tagline in general is dumb. It would have been lame even if it was "We're Fighters."

It doesn't help that they plastered it all over everything DoA5 related. The whole thing screamed "Take us seriously please."

I thought the 'I'm A Fighter' thing was neat. If they'd actually stuck with it, rather than doing a 180 and screaming "BOOBS! BOOOOOOOBS!" whenever they could, it could have been an interesting direction.

I loved the tag line. Especially with the initial character posters. If it screams, "Take us seriously," it's probably because...at first, that's what they wanted. Unfortunately the fanbase and developers did a 180 and we have a shitty competitive fighter with lots of tits.

Nope- the game will have additional modes/features, but remember that it has cross-play/buy/save functions with the PS3 version. It will have to be the same. Whatever new outfits the Vita version gets, the PS3 (and 360) versions will too.

And that's fine with me. Cross-play is what has kept me playing SFxTK like crazy...DOA5 is gonna be next!

You don't have to take the tits out of DOA, Tekken and Soulcalibur are two solid fighting games with tits. In comparison, DOA is just a game with tits. The other games, besides being better fighters, also have more variety in their tits. DOA has the same tits copied and pasted onto every single girl.
