FFX/X-2 ending spoilers:

Fuck that, Tidus coming back and Yuna getting to be happy with him ending is the best ending. They even blatantly set up for it in the ending of the original game, the part where Tidus swims up to the surface is the beginning of X-2's good/best ending.

It's him coming up at Besaid, right where the Fayth pointed Yuna and the crew to show up at because they knew he would be there. It's the canon ending.

Not to mention, Last Mission is post-X-2's ending and is based off the one where Tidus comes back, IIRC. Rikku is salty about Yuna leaving sphere hunting to live a "boring" normal life with Tidus.

Is it really a happy ending though? They don't actually know if he's there to stay and the way it ends leaves just enough doubt to leave you a little fearful about their future. I could just be a cynic though.

If so, I really hope they don't screw us Vita only owners and sell them for 40 each on Vita. :/

Pilgrimage of Braska, Jecth and Auron. FF X-0.
I don't even know if it could be expanded into something interesting. I started to realize I don't remember a lot about the game. The good side is that I'm getting more excited at the prospect of replaying this.

Imo, idk why they'd do that. But if that happens, I may just get the ps3 version. I want the Vita versions though..

Clearly the best ending to FF X-2 was
Tidus coming back. It also seemed like the real ending. It also gave the warm fuzzies, and was the best part of that X-2 train-wreck. For realz.

Well that looks a little more than touched up. Seems they might have had slightly higher source renders they are now using. Top image is definitely better.

Ultros got the PS2 pic, it could be just a capture from a YouTube video for all I know. Top pic is direct from the new website, so keep that in mind.

As has been mentioned before, there are some CG scenes with close-ups that would be tricky to crop, like the scene in the lake.

Everything shown seems promising so far, I just hope they don't change any voice actors.

That trailer didn't really sell me on the game at all. Lucky for them, I was already sold.

Oh? Where did you get the idea that was fact? I didn't think there was any debate to this. The ending makes a lot of sense when you talk with the Fayths before the final battle.

It's not a fact and they know it. People have turned a blind eye to Tidus's hinted Revival after the credits before even X-2 released. It didn't matter how little sense it would make for it to be a dream, or some how part of the Farplane despite the game showing us directly that it doesn't function that way.

I get that companies want to remake old games so that they can sell them to new young gamers who've never played them before but I'm kind of getting sick of all these HD remakes in recent years.

The HD ports were actually a fan request from GOW 3's collectors edition. One of the pre release surveys asked what special bonus people would like, and the HD remake/port got a huge number of votes, iirc.

Granted, the trend itself goes way back. I remember being blown away by Mario all stars, seeing just how much better ( to my elementary school old self) the games looked with the 16 bit bump.

This is the first one since Okami and ICO i've really been anticipating seeing released.

I'm glad to have the chance to buy this again. I've been hoping it would be HD remastered, especially since I don't own a PS2 anymore and had no real way to play them again unless I tried an emulator, but yeah. This is like the happiest I've been in gaming for a while. I used ti play X on a yearly basis every Summer, haha. Those were the times.

I'm just saying that I don't see much point in a hd remake for a game that doesn't look horribly outdated.
Sure if it was the original deus ex or metal gear solid or some other game that looks outdated as shit then by all means go ahead and remake it but if it's something like Final fantasy x or kingdom hearts which still look fairly okay then I don't think you should bother doing it until at least 2020 when there's a super noticeable difference.

Both KHHF and FFXHD have new localized content though. FFXHD has a portable version.

I just think it would be better to wait a few years an get a super high quality remake. I'm not saying I'm not happy about the remake though I'm just saying I don't particularly like the trend of hq releases lately.

Even with the best framing for each part of the scene, there's no way the scene isn't going to end up looking totally different from the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lJebz8mDaU

There's just too much screen detail in the sequence which uses the full extent of the 4:3 frame. Maybe this will be the one scene which S-E will rerender properly. Lol.

Yeah, the Vita card size limit seems to be the culprit there. That's a lot of game for a card, just considering the FMVs.

$30/each seems likely on Vita. Cross Saves would be wonderful.

I certainly think it's reasonable/possible for them to crop certain scenes and rerender others, depending.
