I asked a few days ago what they do with display boxes when they're done with them. As expected, they just get thrown away. Come at the right time and you can have some, if your GS is nice. They didn't even hound me for a pre-order or anything! Major bros over there.

As far as I can tell AC NL boxes got pushed out for Saints Row 4 boxes. If you show up on Monday morning and ask politely they may be able to help you out.

I didn't get the game, though. :(

I'm actually tempted to get the New Leaf 3DS just because I want this game. I'm still on the fence, though. There really aren't many other games that interest me. But this game looks soooooo good.

I really wonder how deep the customization goes in this game. Can I like create paintings on the walls in my house and whatnot? And is there a limit to the amount of things you can create like images and whatnot?

Also do you get natural disasters in this game? That would be crazy :$

Yes you can create paintings. There's 10 textures for each character and each town/save has up to 4 characters playable so technically 40 textures is available.

And no, you only get rain... which is RUN TO THE BEACH MODE. Most rare huge fish only show up during the rain storms.

Hoping to make some cool stuff that you guys and girls might enjoy if you ever pop into my village :)

Shame about the weather, I've seen snow too right? I was hoping for stuff like lightning in order to make my village more spooky lol

Oh, those aren't mere display boxes. Nintendo are obviously creating the new 3DS XXXL, and those boxes are your average game case.

The cartridges are about the size of an OG 3DS.

I was just thinking, I have a lot of you in my Friends List and many of you are in Europe! I gotta play with you a lot during my 2-week vacation starting the day after New Leaf releases; after that, we may only be able to play on weekends due to the time differences :/

And of course I'll be playing with ohlawd like 95% of the time...
You know what though, ohlawd, bud, it would be an honor to have Madera homewrecked by you. In fact, I look forward to it :)

I wish there was a way to prevent villagers putting their house wherever they want...

I'm gonna have a big garden maze in the middle of town with this huuuuge sexy mural that I found, and I don't want it ruined.

When friends come over, can you see them on the bottom screen map? Can they see you?

'Yes' would be nice, but I'm hoping for 'No'. It would help a lot with the contests and little competitions I have planned for visitors to my town.

I just added a bunch of Gaffers. :) Have sent PMs to give a heads up. Feels good.

Pondering cancelling the pre-order I have with Amazon and instead opting for digital copies for both myself and my partner. The only thing holding me back though, is that we both have imported US consoles. I'm concerned it might make purchasing digital copies harder in the future if we need to transfer or recover licenses. Thoughts?

I absolutely loved stormy weather in Rune Factory 3, it's so soothing to me. I don't care if it ruins the hours spent on the farm, it's still soothing!

The mural is not related to Animal Crossing at all, and it has to do with the final straw that got the last thread locked. That's your hint.
