I wonder how Sony will try to compete with games that van run 100+ AI objects using high end AI code?
I don't see whats to stop Sony providing hooks for developers to use competitors to Azure like Amazon and Google.

It's multiplayer only anyway isn't it? Cloud or not you need the internet.
The PC wont be using or have access to the cloud.
Can always turn down other settings if the system is too taxed.
You know the cloud is complete bullshit right? There is no way the latency would allow them to do AI calculations. Or if someone was nit connected to the internet.
You might be the only guy on GAF who would make a serious post on the cloud.
Good thing potential is always realized and Xbone is the only device with "cloud computing".
Bullet dodged, you guys

This doesn't make any sense to me either. You cannot offset RAM by 'cloud computing'. Lol.
Gaikai renders the game elsewhere.Course you can. That's what Gaikai does.
Course you can. That's what Gaikai does.
EDIT: Our resident leaker appears to be claiming it is a 1 year timed exclusive...
No it doesn't lol. A server runs the entire game elsewhere and just streams the image/video to the console.
any screenshots out yet?
Sucks that this game is going to be an Xbone exclusive. Really wanted to check out Respawn's post-COD effort but oh well.
Damn you MS moneyhats.
kind of wondering about the screens as well. Source engine has me thinking this wont be that amazing looking. but im eager to be proven wrong.

It sounds like you'll just have to wait a year for the PS4 version.
nobody will care after a year has passed
Nobody should care about games nobody will care about after a year has passed. If this is one of those, let's stop caring now.nobody will care after a year has passed
You just made his point.

And I think what helped CoD a lot was the cinematic singleplayer campaign, and that seems to be missing here. I'm also not convinced yet that the source engine can offer us a true nextgen graphics experience. But in a few days we will know more, I guess.
But that's not how this will work, TitanFall is not a streaming game. So this statement is nonsense.
Still kinda shocked that EA and Respawn are using Source.
Irony.
As in, Source engine 3 (one HL3 will be based off of) or the current source engine Portal, Episode 3 etc are based off? The latter would be very disappointing. It is an ageing engine that needs a serious overhaul.
Isn't the source engine kinda old ?

Source engine, L4D style "story", online, xbox exclusive, EA, pc most probably uses Origin...
Man...talk about weird decisions.
Hard to see this being good or a success.

so - the cloud stuff isnt total bullshit?

Of course it is.
None of what you mentioned can determine if Titanfall will be "good or a success."
I don't know why people seem so sceptical a out games using cloud computing for AI.
Just imagine that the server is another player who is simultaneously controlling 1000 characters in a multiplayer game. That's how Titanfall could be using it like that
