The wireless built into ps3's was so fucking horrible. I have to wonder if that's half the reason people get that placebo effect of ps3 online being bad.
The 360 slim at the time had the best wireless built in.

Just caught up on the Tekken Revolution thing. Sounds like it could be a success, sounds pretty boring though, not really ballsy or anything either. And of course it sounds like a nightmare model for TOs and fighting game enthusiasts. Maybe it'll have an option for TOs, who knows.
I heard Japanese fighting game players prefer XBL since paying for the service means you probably pay for faster internet speeds. I think Kim1234 told me that when I went to Japan, but I'm not sure.Well it's that and "I'm paying for online it has to be better why else would I be paying for it!?"
Not just the wireless.

But damn I really wish people that played fighting games would invest in a ethernet cord. Even if it's on the other side of the house just buy a long ass one plug it in when you use it and put it away when you are done. I did this for 2 years.
Honestly I don't think anybody's going to lose any sleep if TR ends up being non-tournament viable.
More of an issue where if it does much better for them than TTT2 or T6 ever did, what it would hold for the future of the franchise for the fighting game enthusiast. Slowly over time features for the core becoming afterthoughts, or being shoddily implemented because of them prioritizing building and optimizing an online/F2P framework.I don't think it's meant for tournaments at all.
Oh wtf I didn't even know about these. Yeah no excuses with stuff like that existingOr grab yourself an Ethernet Over Powerline kit, as they are awesome.

Isn't the reason that fighting games don't have robust tutorials is because VF/Sega patented it? I swear we have had this discussion before.
On the same note MOBA tutorials are god awful as well. I think DOTA 2's plan is to make a robust one but right now it's non existent.
send him an invite to Injustice Panda
show him your Batman

Is there an active fighting game with no tournament support?
Did you laugh at him? I would have laughed at him.
Makes sense to me that someone who has enough money to pay for a service is more likely to have the money to pay for better internet. That isn't to say that 360 online is inherently better than PS3 online; just that the people who have 360s happen to have better connections than the people who have PS3s.Here in the 3rd world we've done plenty of testing with wired ps3 and 360 and lots of locations/people and for everyone involved 360 was superior/had less lag. Just saying.
WTF is this sorcery
holy shit
I don't know, is there anything like this out there? With them talking on twitter about attracting new and non-fighting game players, the stats, not having all characters e.t.c. I just don't see this being a traditional tournament game.
Yeah. I'm just not too certain about its longevity if there's no tournament support.
I don't get it. What is it

Oooh never heard about those. Might have to pick one up. Right now I have an ethernet cord going in to a switch for the 360/ps3 since my router/computer are in another room.Or grab yourself an Ethernet Over Powerline kit, as they are awesome.
Xbox being better than PS3 online is a really silly myth that should stop because the one that needs to be blamed are the developers.

Welp I'm going into the Animal Crossing vortex. See you guys in like a week or so
I'm quitting competitive fighting games and going into electronic Animal Crossing sports.
Namco has 2 iirc. One patent is the ability to play a minigame during a load screen and the other is something fighting game related. I forget what but it doesn't seem like a big deal from what I remember.
Skullgirls has one of the best tutorials and look at how many people play that game.

That being said, gaming on wireless (especially fighting games) is terrible.
The only games I would test this with are SCV/BB/TTT2/Skullgirls90% of the testers owned both ps3/360. I did too and I had the same results. Most of us had only their console plugged to the router for the tests. I was a naysayer until I ran some test with a friend close to my place who had the same internet speed/setup(and even router) as I did and the lag was more noticeable while using the 360. We even tested with different accounts created using different home regions. We all are now very convinced that the online play using 360s is better than the online using wired PS3(also lol@wireless ps3).
The worst for me was when I participated in an SF4 online ranbat(PS3), I made it to winners finals and I couldn't connect with my opponent. We tried several times, I restarted my router a number of times(NAT type 2 everytime and the PS3 being the only device connected to the router) and in the end I had to take an L and went to losers finals. Same story there, I ended up 3rd without playing. I didn't bother to watch the streamed grand finals nor did I join the ranbat again.
Of course this is all anecdotal evidence.

It's known that capcom games netcode on sony stuff is garbage. *as well as their coding of the games*

Yea smartphone garbage most probably. Even if it's a real game it's not like this is some godly classic game.
If this is some Kinect exclusive game I would fucking LOL!
I hope Triforce is in Smash 4
It's going to be a Kinect based Taeboo/Zoomba style fitness game staring Shaq
He summons Reggie for his Final Smash.
