Yo!!

I'm part of indie-GAF, and I just thought I'd mention that I'm dropping the price of Chopper Mike to $0.99. Google Play store link: Chopper Mike. (Store might not be updated yet, I only just dropped the price).

For those who haven't seen it before, it a super challenging helicopter time trial game, that IGN said “controls just so perfectly..”. It starts off easy, then puts you to the test!!

More info here: http://vamflax.com/ChopperMike/ChopperMikeInfo.html

Enjoy!! :D

So I just upgraded from an Incredible 2 to a Razr M. Funny thing is, I tried to buy Penny Arcade episode 3 for my Incredible, and the Google Play store said it wasn't compatible. So now on my Razr, I go to buy PA3, and it STILL says it's not compatible!
Not only that, but now the Play store says my new phone isn't compatible with Plants vs Zombies! (It seems to load just fine from the Amazon App Store.)

What the hell, Google?

EDIT: Doing some searching on google, it seems like I'm not alone on the PA issue.

oh god, GameLoft made a Team Fortress 2 clone and it's free on the play store. I need to get a good gaming controller for the HTC One ASAP

Have over a hundred of amazon giftcards so decided to pick up a Moga pro (which I believe can be used as a pc controller also anyways).

The HTC one doesn't work with sixaxis and I'd rather have a dedicated controller, not having to go use my ps3 via usb otg.

All the best FPSs on android support it and I should be able to map for emulators. Should be coming in the next few days.

How has this NOT been posted yet? Terraria will be diggin' up dirt on mobile platforms this summer.

While this is totally awesome, I feel as if it would be better suited for the PSVita. Physical controls are best controls. Unless.. you know.. mind control comes out anytime soon.

EDIT: Somehow I missed the thread for this exact thing. It wasn't exactly an active thread.. so maybe it'll stir up things here.

Its coming to Vita too this summer. Was actually announced so before the mobile announcement.

Thanks bro, I just bought it after looking at the video for it. I think the price is justified.

Glad you like it. The gameplay is very simplistic, but for some reason I still play the game from time to time. Gotta get all those perfects... 202 out of 1000 so far.

And whaddyaknow, going by the scores in my pic, it's just as good as TLOU! :D

Butterscotch Shenanigans' new game came out, Quadropus, have been absolutely hooked on it for the past few hours.

Play Store link - Quadropus

It's like Towelfight 2, meets a bit of Binding of Isaac, with some really random weaponry and a lot of fun/stuff to do. Freemium as well but to be honest I've earned a good chunk of stuff over the span of time I've played it so I can't see it being a game breaker.

Trailer:

Really silly fun, oh and it has support for controllers also, feels awesome playing it with my ps3 controller

Is it just me or Ikaruga on Android runs very choppy? Maybe it's cause my Xperia Play is underpowered? :(

Because it deserves more love:

SOLO and online game play on the classic Ticket to Ride USA map that made the original board game so compelling and popular
In-game purchasing for all of the previously released digital maps and variants, including Asia, Europe, Switzerland, and USA 1910
Four distinct AI personalities to compete against
Players on Android can challenge rail barons playing on other platforms including Steam PC and Mac, iPad, and on Days of Wonder's online portal
Contextual in-game Conductor's Notes to help you master all the maps
Ticket to Ride for Android will run on tablets with a minimum screen size of 1024x600 (1280x800 or higher recommended), using Android version 4.0.3 or higher. These include the popular Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablets.

Cheap puzzle game called Color Zen that's worth a look;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xTUM8U2xdc

It's more complex than the trailer implies, but is definitely further towards the relaxing end of the puzzle spectrum, with ambient music and the satisfying effect of reducing the abstract geometric shapes to a single colour. There's 6 chapters with 20 puzzles each.

After the Kyoto Indie Game Seminar which I spoke at on Saturday I had a random developer show me his game I have absolutely fallen in love with. Unfortunately it is only in Japanese atm but I am already planning to try and help them localize it.

Rev Ersi Quest

It's basically Othello The JRPG. How has this never been done before? Or have I just missed similar games in the past?

A gameplay video for anyone interested!

I think i'm definately doing something wrong in this game, I haven't managed to get any further than the 5th floor so far! :(
Same but I know it's my fault for being careless/greedy/not knowing my way around the game enough yet.

For example, trying to get the loot from a tomb at level 1 is a bad idea. A bad idea that's way too appealing for me.

For those who are better than me at it : what class do you choose? Is there one that's too strong/weak compared to the others?

The first boss is a true pain in the ass. I've beaten him twice, got to level 10 and the... rage quit. How can you defeat the second boss? Any suggestions?

My Gamezebo review of Polygon Storm is up if you want to take a look.

http://www.gamezebo.com/games/polygon-storm/review

Polygon Storm, the intergalactic geometry dodger from Glass Knuckle Games is a pretty interesting concoction. First try to imagine a minimalist’s take on the “bullet hell” genre. Now strip away the bullets (yes, even your own), throw a little bit of Asteroids into the mix, and replace your starship with a vanity mouse cursor from some old shareware disk. Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself with that last bit. Those sparkly contrails emanating from the rear of your craft are one of many unlockables granted as you play. As a matter of fact, the entire game is built on a foundation of unlockable content, and I mean this quite literally.

I think it's too drop dependant for you to be able to reliably advance past the first boss. Kinda killed my enthusiasm for the game, when you can consistently get to a point only to be beaten horribly because you didn't find enough potions of strength to use that fancy new armor.

Is there a decent Shin Megami Tensei rip-off on Android?

My Nexus 4 has nearly no games on it. Just 10 000 000 and Carmageddon.

well I have the nexus so not 100% all these are compatible on phone but here are ones I think stand out.

- Final Fantasy 3 and 4 - JRPG's
- Kingdom Rush - really damn good tower defence
- Anomaly warzone (and the Korea sequal) - Tower Offence
- Bards tail - RPG
- Majesty - Build town and build heros but they control themselves. Hard to explain
- Dead space - TPS, best implementation of touch controls for a TPS or FPS still to this day.
- Dungeon Raid - Puzzle RPG
- Shadowgun - TPS a bit like gears of war, just simplified a bit to help it work with touch.
- Shadowgun deadzone (the free online multiplayer version of the above game) - would say its the best multiplayer shooter for any portable device out there. Still not a good one on Vita yet.
- Shadow Era - trading card game

Ah ok, maybe i'm not doing anything wrong then.

I've had one playthrough where I seemed to get decent drops and managed to equip a decent weapon and armour, but other than that I just seem to get stuck with the starting items.
