Forgot about him. I liked jynx, even if we didn't always agree. Wonder who he is now, though he seems like the kind of guy that would eventually stop posting.

Awesome guy, but life happened. I think he was one of those folks where gaf was sort of all or nothing. He returns once in a while and drops a flurry of posts, but it looks like he hasn't been on in nearly a year. :(

I remember during the big Texas wild fires someone (sadly I can't remember who) posted about going back to where there house was during the fire. They found that their ducks had survived in a water barrel. Any update there? On people or on ducks? Hoping everyone is recovered, but that was awhile back and I never saw any updates.

Oh man, I sometimes thought about making this thread but never did it. GAF is so full of interesting people and stories so it's really interesting to hear what's happened them after these years.

For me it's kinda hard just because of the sheer amount of people who post here.

Most times I go into a thread I can't even pick out someone who replied to something I posted an hour ago.

At the time I made the very wrong decision to go with the latter, because Dragona was an OG and I wanted to keep her around, and Lyre turned out to be one of the worst mods we've ever had (don't worry, Mike Works, you're still #1 in my heart). And then I noticed they *still* used their accounts interchangeably so there was no way to have accountability for their respective mod actions, so if I wanted to get rid of Lyre it would be pointless unless I got rid of both of them. I let them both go.

Meh, I've watched and enjoyed a few opinions and posts from certain Gaffers while I lurked. Obviously wouldn't publicly say who because that's weird but yeah. There are a lot of people on here, though, and as is evident in this thread, people come and go quite often. For one reason or another.

Is a bit different lurking than posting. For example some posters that you didn't liked while you lurked end up liking and the opposite also. Interaction is important.

I still want to know what happened to the Atheist that wanted to have sex with the nun. He had no respect for the religion and I think he said the nun was just an 8 or something and it was mostly to see if he could.

I guess so. There's some really powerful posters on here that I didn't really notice when I lurked. I think back then I was looking for certain people's opinions as apposed to being open to everyone's opinion.

Yeah, i've seen him around too... but we had this huge thread where we wondered if he was killed by Yakuza or arrested for fondling women on the train or something. He made some cryptic post and then he just vanished for like a year or something.

I saw Voice of Reason in one thread and it didn't take long for him to cause a stir. After maybe 2 posts people were quoting his username and saying it needed to be revoked. Makes sense now that it was Eggman.

I remember him and his wife getting banned, I don't remember why. I knew him from Joystiq forums but he got an account and banned long before I was approved.

DCharlie quit GAF, or seriously reduced posting like his other GAF pals who live in Japan, Jonnyram, CVXfreak, Sp0rsk etc.

Demi, Mr. Angry Face, DrinkyCrow. I know DrinkyCrow had a baby and has the magic powers to still post even though I think he's banned.

I'm not sure I understand the "GAF splinter forum" phenomenon, but this may depend on my perspective. At least on occassion, I still feel a little silly spending so much time on what is ultimately an internet video game forum. I would feel an order of magnitude sillier if I spent a lot of time on a forum that consists primarily of people who are rejected from an internet video game forum.

Haha this got me to a couple of funny events.

1- Noforwork (probably wrong name, guy with shaquille avatar) pretty much saying he is a shit joystiq poster and a shit Gaf poster in more than one Fernando topic.

2- He got someone from Gaf to screen cap a post from Facebook asking Gaf gals to date him, American ones to be exact. And nobody wrote on the topic again lol.

One of those, Wasting Your Life, has become its own identity over time. It's no longer a den of banned NeoGAF users, although its active user base is considerably small.
