First images of Ironfall; graphics meet RE:R on 3DS

The devs also said they were using AA, but that they would have to remove it if it caused the 60 fps framerate to drop.

I can't wait. We definitely need to see more though before saying they meet Revelations' graphics. Revelations was a big-budget game, and this is an eShop release made by two people. They should not be expected to be able to reach that level on a project like this.

So now I'm officially more hyped by eShop exclusives than retail ones. This, Jett Rocket II, and Cult County. Amazing the Western support the 3DS is actually getting outside of retail.

I know it isn't a clear shot, but even from this it's pretty easy to see this looks nowhere near as impressive as Revelations did on 3DS.

I can't remember anything close to Revelation in terms of graphical power, and that was released 1.5 years ago.

Sort of reminds me of Conduit 3DS.

Shame this never happened, there was footage and everything. :(

It is a shame as they had Conduit 2 playing on a 3DS with touch-aim support and a 3rd-person mode. The games weren't really great but they always had a good feature set. I mean Conduit 2 had a horde mode. Considering the lack of any FPS on 3DS (until Cult Country releases) it's too bad they didn't just port Conduit 2 to the eShop. A port of Black Ops Wii also would work good for multiplayer as it had a Zombie map.

I played The Conduit first mission on my Shield. Is it sad to state that it is one of the best Mobile FPses? At least the Wii got the CoDs.

Looks great, I wonder what a game would look like if Shinen and these guys teamed up.

I wonder what the price point for this will be. I was burned when I bought Nano Assault EX for full price and a month later the price almost halved.

So is this going to be corridor? If they did something open world, that would be truly amazing.

Not slamming the dev's by the way.

Yeah, I agree.
Definitely not great by any stretch of the word, but I had fun with the multiplayer on both games. Apparently SEGA wasn't willing to publish it, so High Voltage put it on the shelf.
I used to play the CoD DS games a bunch when I was younger, so I do miss the lack of FPS titles. While I also enjoyed Renegade Kid's various FPS offerings, Cult Country doesn't look to really be filling in that "action FPS" void I've been looking for either (though I'm looking forward to it anyway).

Can't wait to see what this looks like running at 60fps.

I never understood why Activision never got someone to port over the Reflex engine to the 3DS. A portable version of Goldeneye would have done really well for itself near launch.

60 fps?!

..And ~20fps (demo impressions).

Never had a problem with the framerate. There was a guy in another thread who said the "placebo" firmware update did improve the game's framerate. Not sure, but I'm on my third playthrough and I have zero complaint. In fact I didn't realize people ever took issue with the framerate until I joined gaf.

So who is the developer again? I've never even heard of this game, but from the image it looks like some Shin'en voodoo if that is 60fps.

Edit: VD-Dev? Don't think I know them.

While that does look nice and I am excited because of the developer, it kind of reminds me of the garbage Madfinger Games fools people with on iOS/Android.

It looks nice but do we really need another third-person shooter? I'm not against the 3DS having some shooters but over the course of this generation I became quite saturated of them.

WAIT!

A)They made jim power on the amiga!

B)On the site there are psvita and wiiu logos but they made no games for them! Vita-wiiu game announcement incoming?
Maybe. They also handle some lower tier budget ports like Driver on the 3DS. A WiiU/Vita could be all original, or it could be some port to pay the bills.

I don't know why people insist that 3DS is weak hardware. It's a powerful little beast. It's no Vita, but it's great hardware nonetheless.

I just bought SSFIV off the eShop and I'm convinced the 3DS is a beast.

Because people cant see past numbers, the 3DS has some nice technology in it that can result with some nice looking games, Mario 3D land and RE:REV being good examples.
