Who's getting the Wii U version of COD Ghosts?

Assuming the game is a solid port like Black Ops 2 was, I think I'll pick this up for Wii U. In the last title, I got some great use out of off-TV play, and when using the TV I could switch to wiimote-nunchuck for better precision. The online was solid, but unpopulated in BO2 for Wii U. You could always get a deathmatch going, but rarely any of the other modes. I think Ghosts will sell better on the current install base. I am just going to assume it will be a solid port, but has any Wii U footage been released?

Good question? Anyone?

Not my kind of game, so I wouldn't even be getting it on the PS4.

I'm sorry, but, military shooters are just so boring to me. :p

I bought the Wii U version of BLOPS2 solely for the Zombie mod. It was awesome sitting on the couch playing on the gamepad.

But no.

I'm thinking it'll be one of the games I pick up with my Wii U this holiday, along with Pikmin, SM3DW, and Wind Waker.

Contemplating it. I have no interest in the multiplayer though, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to justify the cost.

I, too, bought Black Ops II for the Wii U and never had any issues getting into deathmatch games. The off-TV play worked great, especially when you have a guest playing online as well (one person on the Wii U pad and the other on the big screen). I would have liked to try the other multiplayer modes. With that said, I'm not getting the Wii U version of Ghosts.

I am. Offtv play makes me buy most of multiplats on wiiu (if there is a wiiu version). Oh and i dont care about online.
*crickets*

This kind of posts are so annoying. Does this mean that you are a representative of all posters on gaf? Or are people who will buy this particular version considered as mich worth as crickets?

There will likely still only be an average of 1,000 people or so online at peak times. Not worth it for me. I hated not being able to play anything other than standard team death match on blops2.

I owned the Wii U version of BO2 and still regret it. No one I know plays that version and it was the worst version technically.

He's implying no one is going to buy it, which seems to be the case it BO2 was a good representation. Not everything is a personal insult, it was most likely a joke.

Me. Black ops two was great having two people play on the same console but both of have our own screen. Wii U is my COD machine.

I bought bops2 for Wii U last year and it was very solid (MP only, didn't touch SP). Wii U Pro controller is the best controller i've ever used for a shooter. I won't be picking up Ghosts for Wii U though. The online community was small in bops2 and the install base really hasn't increased much since last year, so I think it's wise to grab it on current gen or ps4/xbone if you have that option.

I played about 50hours of online gameplay and thoroughly enjoyed it, but the small community allowed me to demolish fools online. I'm not even elite, but i don't suck. I'm a normal 1.4ish K/D guy on 360 and only play TDM. I was straight up beasting on Wii U because the competition really isn't as good since the online community was only about 3-5K online at once, so better players dominate more. made me feel good, but it also made it stale.

another thing is that i don't trust IW and company for ports. Treyarch is far superior IMO.

Have a powerful pc, getting a ps4 at launch, still buying this on WiiU. See you folks on the dutyfield (battlefield didn't seem right). Add me, I'm Ridgewalker.

I am even tho I hate this whole blackout. No idea how the game runs, no pictures, no info since confirmation of the port. It is really annoying.

looks like there are a few peole buying it. I am buying it. I know its a small portion of the population but its annoying getting treated like "no one" just because you belong to a minority.

Traded my PS3 copy of Blops 2 in for the U version awhile back. Loved playing with my daughter, with each if us having our own screen.

I left the choice up to her, and she wants to get it for PS4, so that's that.

Isnt treyarch handling the wiiu port?

Btw its funny how treyarch now is considered the better dev compared to infinity ward.

I'm in day one for pointer controls. That's the only thing keeping me on board. Other than that I'm not all that excited.

He thinks he's being funny. He's a nice guy usually so we can let him think that. I'm just surprised a circle jerk of "lolz first post nails it" posts hasn't materialized in his wake.

He's trying to be humorous. Everyone is a comedian when it comes to wiiU.

On topic: wiimote aiming is where it's at!! I'll be there day one.
pro tip: Make sure to adjust your settings! Dead zones, sensitivities, speeds (yes, plural). If you don't adjust your settings, you're gonna have a bad time.

I would but waiting to see how ghosts looks on ps4, the pics steam has for ghosts look really good. I did like bo2 on wii u but that game was dead there, all modes were dead except 2. I did hate wii mote users because it was so cheap.

Yup. Already pre ordered. Pointer controls plus when my bro wants to play having the gamepad as my screen feels a lot better than split screen on the tv. Plus a bunch of people on my friends list are gonna pick it up. Always nice to play with them.
How's the wiimote in blops 2?
I always have to adjust the settings in every game that supports pointer controls but they work about as well as one would expect it to. Or at least, I didn't have any issues with it.
