Another thing. All the wobble units videos I saw but mine doesn't wobble at all no matter what corner I press. Anyone else?
Bricked PS4 owners post the location your PS4 was manufactured and the month. I want to see if we could pin this down to just a bad batch. You could find the information on the back.
Try reseating the HDMI cable and make sure it is connected snuggly and securely. if not, remove the HDMI cable and look for a piece of metal obstructing the pins.
Not really tons there...that link has 22 posts and most are about amazon refund policies.
I wanted to have a thread where people could report issues and get help with problems...not argue over failure rates and such. Nobody knows the latter so let's just try and see what we can find out.
I hope Sony gives all the users that have bricked PS3's something extra. A free voucher for Infamous Second son would be okay with me >_<.
Is the fan running? Mine wasn't and it was causing mine to overheat.Yeah, 99% sure mine is broken. I can get into safe mode just fine and then reset it to default settings, etc. but after that it just keeps crashing and shutting off.
Could you possibly create a poll topic asking if users are having issues? Would be interesting to see the no versus yes ratio.

Did they do anything for people with busted PS3s at launch?
I keep getting "an error has occurred" when I try to update my new 1TB HDD to v1.5.
What gives? Do I have to format it first? How would I go about doing that?

I want to give it a little more time. People are still getting theirs and the data will be more valuable if we give it some time.

Sure, why not? Can't be any worse than anything else I've tried, haha.Wanna try removing the hard drive? lol
It's got to be FAT32. You can hook it into any comp.
That explains it, thanks.Needs to be formated to fat32 have a laptop you can put it in? Or sata cables and a computer?
Just hooked mine up and the disc drive keeps trying to eject every 5 seconds even when nothing is inside. I can't put any disc in...it will just spit it back out.
Anyone having this issue?
Same here (pic), Manufactured: Hongfujin Yantai China in September 2013.
We both have the same problem, same factory/manufacture date, both ordered from Amazon... Guessing there was a bad run.

Just listen to it, you'll be able to hear if they're running. Mine did this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT-n0TNdpF8Hmm, that's a good question. I hadn't paid attention to it, I'll have to check. What did you end up doing to "fix" it?
are you trying to play knack?
(this is a new one. try cleaning the eject button and make sure it isn't near anything giving off heat...it's thermal. is there an emergency eject button somewhere too?)
Count me in as a third on that.
My PS4, which is working, is August 2013.

No fix, had to get a refund

For the record, 3 friends have managed to fix PS4s by unplugging everything out of it and shutting it off for 5 minutes.
Their PS4s have worked flawlessly since. Try disconnecting everything for at least 5 minutes. Then reconnect and give it a try. I don't know why this worked for them, but it did.

Pulsing blue light with no video seems the most common.so having been dealing with just trying to get my ps4 from amazon i havent been paying attention to whats been going on. Any indication of a sizable issue with hardware or does it seem like a low failure amount? Anyone particular issue that keeps popping up?
Same.

Put in The World's End to start reviewing it... signal dies on the PS4. Have to restart the machine to get back to the menu.
Tried three times with the same result.
