Agreed. VGCats hasn't always struck a chord with me, but I like the art style. Though I can't say I've read any web comics in ages really. Somewhere along the line PA killed it for me. I stopped reading them and basically dropped all of them like a bad habit.
Well at least your money went to getting him the expensive supplies he needed to really demonstrate his artistic capabilities.

CAD is easily the worst. VGCats can be good sometimes, and I like the art.
My favourites are FanBoys and Awkward Zombie.
There was a PA edit of this which made me fucking lost it.

Penny Arcade may not be the worst, but they're definitely in contention for biggest drop in quality. It just feels phoned in now; they're literally using the same jokes from a couple years ago.

That, plus the mother of all walls of text, plagiarism, stolen character design and the comic's creator is a questionable individual.

Though if I were to think of a good web comic. Does Hiimdaisy count as a contender for a great web comic when she was still doing them? I miss her video game related comics. I think most people though know about her through the Persona 4 comics, and their respective fan comic dubs on Youtube. For me, currently the best gaming-related comics are both Awkward Zombie (i love when she makes Fire Emblem related strips) and Nerfnow (latest ones, ain't been good tho)

People have already covered CAD being the worst. So I'll say that hiiimdaisy (all the time) and Awkward Zombie (sometimes) are legitimately good.

Honestly, I think CAD has gotten way better since he "ended" the "story" and just focuses on one shots and those multi-color people who I don't know who they are.
Of course by "way better" I mean relative to the last time I looked at the comic, which was probably some time pre-miscarriage debacle....

It was hyperbolic satire on what I personally have seen happen on here time to time.
The main problem it seems is that oftentimes a single dissenting poster will get swarmed by a dozen other posters quoting him and trying to make a counter-argument. Though that's just kind of the nature of online discussion.

"Hiimdaisy" wasn't really a gaming webcomic, it was an artist's livejournal account. She doesn't even go by that name anymore, and actually dislikes those comics now.
