I don't want to continue, because:
1) I don't care that much.
2) This is a topic for Smash bros. I might talk more about it in a Sonic thread, but again, I don't care that much.
I said my opinion on the subject. One of which that is very subjective, but you want me to prove myself.
Neither one of us will be able to prove it.
I would suggest that you get off that high horse and accept that other people can have an opinion.

So real talk, if the DOOMsayers are correct and the WiiU is the last Nintendo console then Smash Bros for WiiU may be the last console smash game ever

SMASH 5 XONE- Banjo-Kazooie are raring to go.
SMASH 5 IOS/ANDROID - Red Angry Bird flies into battle.
SMASH 5 PC - Don't Quote me on this, but that robot kid's a great fighter.

If Cat Suit is in this game, and for some reason Werehog becomes a Down B transformation for Sonic, that means there'd be a Catwerehog!
I don't even like AW that much but yes, so much this.

Ice Climbers haven't done anything in years do they deserve to be cut? When has Smash ever been a celebration of Nintendo's history? That's just stuff that people assume since the game has always been about it's wacky mechanics and its departure from the average fighting game. Gameplay is what makes smash, not historic nostalgia.
If Sakurai believes Snake is a fun character and he fits, then he'll be in the game.
I'd much rather play as a character with a ton of options than a platforming clone.
With that said, please based Sakurai and based Kojima please bring back Snake. Or better yet bring Big Boss instead of Solid Snake.

He's not wrong though. Simon is a much better fit than Snake ever was. Hell, Goemon is a better pick than Snake.
I don't think anything shadow the hedgehog related will every be on a high horse.
But, i don't really care if ya like shadow or not. You presented an argument then I was like "nah homie not only do I disagree you may wish to present a better argument than that because that really wasn't an argument ". I understand you wanted to end it, its just.. just end it. Don't half explanation then end it, " I don't wanna get into it that".It just drags on things, this is something I also need to work on.

Obviously you take it very seriously, and this isn't something I take seriously. All I have to offer is my base feelings on the subject. I can't (don't want to take the time to) give you an analysis of why I think he's a bad character.
I think your problem was to mistake my first statement as an attempt at making an argument. Like you said, it wasn't really an argument. It was a statement of opinion.

So it occurred to me just now that if Snake returns, we can get Metal Gear Rising music in the game.
Surely we can all agree this is reason enough for his inclusion, no?

I would really, really, really like this to happen. There might be some issues with the licensing though, since I think the bands and singers involved have some rights.

Samurai posts a picture of Dr. Mario, Dr. Luigi, male Wii Fit Trainer and Toon Link in his Outset costume wearing a mirror shield.
Miiverse comment: "To celebrate the release of Dr. Luigi in Japan today, here is a look of some of the games' many alternate costumes!".
And one more thing, when you click on a character's profile on the website a "next page" arrow shows up that shows the alt's different artwork plus an equal amount of new screenshots as the standard costume has.
That's my prediction.

I mean, Brawl had stuff like Calling to the Night and (instrumental) Snake Eater. I'm sure the rights can be worked out.

Depends on your definition of serious, I just like talking about characters I like and character design. If that is serious to you , then yes I suppose. Yes I guess on the level of taking character design seriously. Hmm I guess I kinda do if that is what you mean. Serious and passionate are a bit different in my vernacular, so i guess its one of those depends on the person kind of things.
hmm, you know what you are right , and you have the right to state your opinion. Although I would advise ( epically on a specialty forum as this one ) that you don't put the stuff out there you don't want punctured.
I really hope they bring in Peace Walker music. I'd love an instrumental or a full version of Paz's theme or Heaven's divide.
Peace Walker is my favorite Metal Gear game to date and I hope that Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain exceed expectations.
I'm wondering if the Nintendo Wii U & 3DS versions of SSB4 are going to have an even bigger soundtrack than what was accomplished in SSBB? Especially if the two games will might have their own seperate scores for the menu screen, options, etc. (Hey, both games are goin' to have their own set of levels for players to duke it out on, so it wouldn't surprise me if the same would be said for the versions respective scores.)

Real talk for a second, a pc smash would be amazing because of the modding possibilities.

Didn't see your post yet, but I liked Has To Be This Way too. I also really like Sins of the Father.
I'd much rather have orchestral music than god awful Sonic music when I play smash.
The Only Thing I Know For Real > Rules of Nature > I'm My Own Master Now > It Has To Be This Way. Not that the latter isn't good, but damn I love me the former three. Especially the version of I'm My Own Master Now with the acoustic intro.

I wouldn't be surprised if they "borrow" moves from that like Dudley did in Street Fighter if Little Mac gets in.
If it's not Little-Mac, a grapple based character would be amazing.
A moveset off this would be hilarious and fun to play.

Chain-grabbing doesn't count. I don't think the developers designed them to be grab specific.
I mean most of his specials, and attacks would grab the opponent.
The smashes would be smashes, but everything else could function as grab-type move.

So we're listing some of the characters we want? Bomberman, majora, ganon, plok, advance wars character (andy and sami were my favourites), wonderful 101 character (i don't even like the game but it just feels right), lynn, hector, mewtwo, little mac, pacman there is just so many. I would love a complete oddball character like game and watch from a lesser known franchise as well. Trainer doesn't really fit, they're strange but it's an insanely popular franchise.
If the Metal Gear games weren't incredibly silly, I might buy this. He fits into the firmly tongue-in-cheek style of Smash better than most of the Nintendo characters.
