I guess that's why they really really wanted Titanfall locked up. Sounds like more of the same IPs for the majority of their lineup for the next several years. New consoles is for doing new franchises but the ones they've shown so far aren't moving the needle for me. HL2 anniversary would be fun but its probably the weakest campaign of the Bungie games and i'm not convinced it'll be a true HL2 multi experience

The only reason I don't think it was a planned leak is because of the white Xbone thing. MS wants people to buy the console now, not wait later.

Not to rain on anyones parade, this list looks great but is anything here unexpected at all? Not to me... also hype for games 2 years from now is pretty low... I could just wait two years, maybe pick up an xbox for 349 and grab a library...

Sounds ok except the $399 no optical drive SKU. That would only push me away from buying any Xbox sku. I don't understand if he was serious about that though or not. Hopefully not. Why the hell people would want that is beyond me. Hooray less options and back to the whole DRM bullshit? No thanks.

Interested in a new Fable/Crackdown but those were obviously coming at some point.

An Xbone minus a disc drive sounds like an absolutely terrible idea, and I can't see why Microsoft would take the hit on a $100 price cut on it without also removing Kinect. Quantum Break in 2014 would be an unprecedented turnaround time for Remedy, I'm going to predict a delay to Match 2015. Microsoft would be daft to miss Portugal and Greece out of the April wave of launches. Everything else sounds plausible.

Disappointing to hear that Microsoft is reverting back to the old guard and no indications yet of any unannounced new IP. Also LOL @ people wanting the console to play a remake of a ten year old game.

But you know they're coming. Feel free to tell me what MS first party studios could be making new IPs. T10 is Forza, 343 Halo, Tusk Gears, Lionhead Fable (with a new IP years away if at all), Dakota is doing Spark, rare is a Kinect Studio

1) I'd be very surprised if a site like IGN reported on this.

2) A Nintendo Direct costs almost nothing to produce. You round up some execs, gets your camera ready, and record. YouTube is free.

Can't stand fanboy arguments so I'm with you here, but Crimson Dragon and Ryse were beyond mediocre and Titanfall is multiplat, so that's why people disregard that particular one. That being said QB looks promising and I'm sure there will be more in the future.

You're also not being fair by listing Infamous, Killzone, and Uncharted. Sony has more 1st party studios than anyone and have yet to show really any of it, E3 will (hopefully) be a big unveiling of those games. Also if you're listing those new IPs, you have to list- Knack, Resogun, The Order, and Driveclub.

For those of you saying that a Disc Drive wouldn't account for a $100 price difference in an SKU, you're absolutely right. But, if Microsoft stands to make more money off digital sales than disc sales (which is frankly incredibly likely with distribution and retailer costs) then it could easily make up the price difference over time. I don't see that idea as too far fetched honestly.

There is a lot of great news in here for XB1. The sheer quantity of bombs dropped is mindblowing. I can't help but wonder why Microsoft would hold so many positive things back. Especially with all the negative consumer reaction they've been receiving. So much information from one new source. I can't help but be a bit skeptical. Perhaps this is actually part of a marketing plan like the "Stop the hate" and Machinima YouTube fiascoes. I suppose it doesn't matter so long as it is actually #truthfact though.

Rob Semsey (Marketing guy for 343/Turn10) said "Your Halo Journey begins in 2014) Note that they have never once said the number 5.

It could go either way.
1.) They might try to get Microsoft's permission first (That revenue)
2.) They don't feel it's credible enough to report

Then again this is IGN scratch 2.

There's strategy here, in that come E3 when hype is built there won't be much hype to be shown, where Nintendo and Sony will win by default. DD wouldn't make up for the price difference given the enemies they'd make and how few people are willing to accept this as the standard just yet.

Most of the stuff is the well known Halo - Forza - Gears - Fable rotation i got tired last gen, but i have to say i like that they gave the second Halo Anniversary again to Saber. I think Saber Interactive is a very underrated dev and tech house and their engine is really good.

And i`m pretty sure Remedys new game could be nice as usual.

One question remains: What the heck is Rare doing? Finally Banjo Threeie, a new ip, more Kinect stuff...??

I don't know if they are coming. Remember 8 days and the getaway? Lionhead is making a new ip,why would it matter if it's years away? Phil didnt rule out Black Tusk going back to that ip when the studio gets bigger.Rare was hiring for multiple titles including new ip, check the link out:

$399? Microsoft, you had my curiosity, now you have my attention. I might just buy one. Physical doesn't bother me that much even though I usually buy games for less than retail. I only really want to play quantum break. That game looks epic.

Looks as much a shooter as Dead Rising, Crackdown, Saints Row, GTA. Haven't seen gameplay yet but it looks like a third person openworld game with lots of crazy weapons. I wouldn't classify it as a shooter from what I know of it at this point.

The only real 'news' is Crackdown 3

With how weak the campaign in 2 was, I can't imagine them not bringing back the multiplayer. Just how they lower the tracking on the plasma Pistol and keep LAN as an option.

Also, there would be no excuse not to have 60fps.
