Subbuteo, so good. The first time in my life I'd have arguments about free kicks, trying to establish whether he played the man first or the ball.

Maybe that's where the misunderstanding of the "dangerous tackle" rule in football comes from.

So... this podcast thingummybob. All we need to do is record a Skype call and then send it off to iTunes. The first few will be even more terrible than the rest but after that it should be fun, no? No-one will probably listen to it, but I just think it'll be fun doing it.

As for a format, what about four people, bit of a chat about what you're playing at the moment, what's going on in the games world etc and various stuff. Conversation really not a big structured thing, just a few bullet points.

Do it maybe every couple of weeks? Just post in the thread and then each time we can pick four people to do it? Maybe three people? I don't know?

I've had to stop on Halo, JB. I'm just not enjoying it. It might be that it's something which, because I didn't grow up with, I just can't connect to. I understand all the things that were innovative about it and I can appreciate its importance in game history, but I'm just not enjoying it. I don't know if it's just too different from Dark Souls and I'm a bit discombobulated, if it's aged pretty badly or if it's just the colour scheme. It might be that playing Titanfall has made it feel even slower than it is meant to feel, but I can't see anything particularly special about it now. It's very hard to feel a sense of wonder about all of its novelties when they're not novelties anymore and I'm not finding the gameplay that enthralling - although I will say that the guns feel good and the sound design is great. The pistol, shotgun and assault rifle are all great to use. But it's all just so blue. Blue blue blue blue everywhere. Grunt + Elite and then Grunt + Elite and then Grunt + Elite and shield baddie. Then blue blue blue blue blue. And the flood are so boring to fight. It's so repetitive. And while I like the idea of these Halo worlds, there's nothing really grabbing me here - I even preferred the idea of the Traveller in Destiny. I'll see it through in a while and maybe Halo 3 will be a bit more fun, but as a current game I'm not finding anything so great in Halo: CE at all.

I'm going to try Gears of War and Bioshock now. Fingers crossed.

I think they're best left to the past. I'm not a huge Halo fan by any means so I won't blame you for dropping it for not having fun. I don't even know if it would hold up now if I went back to it. The most fun I had was just messing about with the different vehicles and playing with mates.

Never played a single Gears of War game somehow. Interested to see what you think.

fuck destiny, as someone here stated it just doesn't respect the time put into it. the fact that their expansion introduces yet another number to fill via a set of repeating timewasters speaks volumes to the depth of that game. really annoyed i bought that game digitally.

I think there would need to be some system for choosing the hosts otherwise it'll probably end up being a bit cliquey maybe? I'd listen to it though!

Would be interested in actually being on it. But yes we'd have to limit it to three or four hosts per session which could mean cycling the panel if we have an excess of volunteers.

That thread also lasted way longer than most other community threads do. It was around for an entire year so take that into account. By comparison other communities usually have about 3-4 threads per year.

What a shame, Roundabouts vibrant youthfulness would have been the spark to ingite fierce debate on the podcast.

And we could have used the extensive log books hes kept on all of us for a weekly feature.

Roundabout was Jed, dickfaces. He's perma'd now for being an alt. At least he went down fighting the good paedo fight, outing that paedo Cyanide Strike along the way. I'm sure Jed won't mind me mentioning that he was sexually abused as a child and he tapped into his lost youthful innocence for Roundabout. Cy detected that something was not quite right (vulnerable) with roundabout, pmed him Jed shared some of his abused past to which Cy let him know how turned on he was and pushed for more details.

Hello everybody.

Been off the site for a couple of weeks, a self-imposed ban, so just catching up on things.

He was on my ignore list but I see from some quoted messages that Roundabout was banned. What did he do? Edit: Just read more messages here as to why.

I would quite happily have said what I think of him but I sort-of value my Neogaf account too much hence why I set him on ignore rather than type it out.
