So people was getting confused in the other thread about season pass and mode info being together. I agreed with the OP of that thread to split the season pass and mode discussion.

Today DICE/EA detailed the last of the 9 MP modes that Star Wars Battlefront is launching with.

Fighter Squadron
Take to the skies and dogfight in some of the most memorable Star Wars vehicles including X-wings, TIE fighters, the Millennium Falcon and more.

Supremacy
Rebels and Imperials fight for control of five key points in this intense 40-player clash that takes place on some of the largest maps in Star Wars Battlefront. Take advantage of both ground and air vehicles in order to secure victory for your team.

Cargo
A thrilling tug-of-war experience for fans of Star Wars and capture the flag gameplay. Cargo challenges your team to capture valuable cargo boxes from the opposing team. Get the loot and make your way back to your base – but don’t forget to defend your own precious cargo as each capture counts.

Droid Run
Six Rebels and six Imperials fight to capture and hold on to three GNK Power Droids™. These are the Droids you’re looking for. GONK!

Walker Assault
Fight in epic 40-player battles as a Rebel to destroy the Empire's onslaught of AT-AT's by calling in Y-wing bombers. Or, side with the Empire and protect your Walkers while utilizing their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective.

Blast
A classic Team Deathmatch mode with a Star Wars Battlefront twist. Fast-paced and packed with chaotic fun, Blast pits 10 Rebels against 10 Imperials in a fight to the finish.

Drop Zone
Keep an eye on the sky! Escape pods are crashing down onto the planetary surfaces and your team must fight for control over them. Drop Zone provides frantic 8v8 matches that will put your combat and strategic skills to the test.

Heroes vs Villains
The most valiant Heroes and cunning Villains of the galaxy are clashing in this epic Star Wars Battlefront mode. Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and other iconic characters will be part of your team together with ground troopers. Keep your Heroes and Villains alive to score points and win the battle.

Hero Hunt
Seven Imperials against Luke Skywalker? Seven Rebels battling it out against Boba Fett? In Hero Hunt, one player will experience the thrill of playing as an iconic Star Wars Battlefront Hero or Villain, facing off against ground troops from the opposing faction. Want to play as the Hero? Take them out and you’ll get your chance, but remember, once you become the Hero the hunt is on.

They have also detailed the remaining singleplayer/2P co-op modes today.

Training
Star Wars Battlefront Training Missions will let you fly an X-wing over the canyons of Tatooine, chase down Rebels with your speeder bike, or even fight as Darth Vader. Training Missions will help you become the best pilot in the galaxy and a formidable player on the ground in Star Wars Battlefront.

Survival
Hold off waves of Imperial forces including AT-STs, TIE Fighters, elite stormtroopers and more. Experience a different Survival mission on every planet.

Battles
Master your Star Wars Battlefront prowess with Battle Missions. Fight alongside the Rebel Alliance or the Empire, against a friend or against enemy AI in head-to-head action. Battle Missions will put your skills to the test – do you have what it takes?

Hero Battles
Star Wars Battlefront Hero Battles let you live out your Star Wars battle fantasies by letting you play as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and more. Feel the power as you master moves like Saber Rush or Force Choke as some of the most iconic characters in the galaxy.

Heroes vs Villains was a given but it's nice to finally have it confirmed, Hero Hunt is an awesome surprise. Can't wait to play that one.

Inb4 the game has no content posts

Edit: you can't play certain modes on certain maps though, right?

Half of these are just "Control/Capture The Points" gametypes, with a few mild variations. They kinda bloat up the list when 20v20 Control is considered a different game than 8v8 Control.

Heroes vs. Villains and Hero Hunt sound like they will be pretty cool though.

Heroes vs. Villains isn't the ridiculous everybody is a hero/villain? I didn't want it to be some VIP mode. Also, I hope I don't have to wait a year and a half for Gun Master this time.

Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and other iconic characters

One of these things is not like the others.
Which one is different,
Do you know?
Can you tell which thing is not like the others?
I'll tell you if it is so.

I want no part of Cargo mode as Capture the Flag is one of my least favorite game types in any FPS.

But... let me at Fighter Squadron and Supremacy! Those 2 sound amazing!!!

Some of these are still pretty vague. The flight squadron mode sounds really fun as does Hero Hunt. I'm curious to see how Heroes vs Villains will play

Worked fine in Battlefront 2 :p
Excited for Heroes vs Villains though.

At least DICE understands who the superior droid is.

Do we know if Vader+Luke+BF are the only launch heroes? (and Millenium Falcon I guess).

I need my Chewie, Old Kenobi, Han, Emperor and Lando.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.

Let's rename them to typical FPS modes, shall we?

Air Superiority (I haven't seen this mode outside of Battlefield, so this one takes that name)

Conquest

Capture the Flag

Domination

Reverse Gold Rush (since instead of arming crates as attackers. DEFENDERS arm the crates to pew pew pew the "rushing" walkers)

Team Deathmatch

These two are somewhat unique, at least on paper. Would have to see if they're taking other shooter drops. Though I guess "Drop Zone" is similar to King of the Hill rotation/Crazy King in Halo?

Hero Hunt is just Fugitive Mod.

---

Looking at that list, the only one I have a semi-interest in is Reverse Rush. And given DICE's map design over the years for that mode... *sigh* ... Not gonna get it.

Looks good. I'm getting Halo 5 for the campaign, then trading it for this.....maybe. No way I have time for both, but I have to get me some Star Wars.

Just have to decide between X1 and PC.

Heroes vs Villains
Keep your Heroes and Villains alive to score points and win the battle.

Get yelled at and sent death threats by random players for getting killed instead of hiding in a corner when playing a hero.

Strap on your hooker ...
Glad to hear confirmation that Supremacy will involve 5 capture areas. Battlefield maps that whittled the control points down to 3 were some real clusterfucks.

Well turns out it's gonna still be a clusterfuck meatgrinder since it's basically a line where you need to capture the points in order and then win the game by capturing the enemy team's home point. They couldn't even manage to do Conquest... in a Battlefront game by the Battlefield developers
