PSVR Price: $399/€399/£349/¥44,980.
Release date: October worldwide.

Pre-orders:
Europe: Up since March 16th (all retailers).
US:
The base $399 unit will be up for pre-order soon but there's a more complete bundle as well:

Content of box:

PSVR HMD.
PlayRoom VR game.
Earplugs.
Processor unit.
Cables, documentation etc.

Camera (required, millions own it) and Move (optional, all titles are DS4 compatible) are sold separate.

Other noteworthy highlights:

Star Wars Battlefront exclusive PSVR title developed by EA DICE coming.
PlayStation VR Worlds announced. New 1st party launch game by Sony London Studios.
Launch games include RIGS, REZ Infinite, BattleZone, Tumble VR, Headmaster, EVE Valkyrie and many (in the tens) more.
Over 50 games will be released before end of the year
Play standard PS4 games and videos in virtual cinema.
PS4 OS available in VR so full end-to-end service.
Media Player being updated to support 360 photos and videos...
230 developer studios on board.
1920 x RGB x 1080 screen (20% more sub-pixels than competing high-end VR hardware) at 120hz.

Alright, I guess it's about time I ate some crow then. Not that I can put much effort into it right now, as I'm knocked out by the flu.

Edit: Hmm, no camera for that price? I included the camera in my prediction, so I'm not quite as wrong as thought. I didn't include the Move controllers though.

Edit 2: Yeah, I withdraw most of that crow-eating. The PSVR is pretty much useless if you buy the $399 version. To get a version that actually works, you need to pay $499. I predicted $499 (and qualified with that it could be a potential bundle). So I leave the crows to the people who thought I was crazy. Up yours!

Too expensive and I say this knowing full well there was no way it could feasibly be cheaper. I think PSVR will be very niche.

Do we know how the parts used are expected to come down in price in the future?
