My programmer roommate and I were harping recently on how terrible the Wii U is for delaying us from starting a game.

Thank the lord.

Weird. I was in the settings for another thing and checked for an update while I was there and it started.

Only Nintendo can release a full new update version and nobody knows about it lol. PS4 and Xbox One firmware gets announced and 40 page threads are created haha.

'Wii U update version 5.0.0 out now, adds quick start menu and more.'

Nintendo has released a major system update for Wii U, bringing the firmware version up to 5.0.0. One of the major features introduced in today’s update is the quick start menu. Players can now more easily begin playing games without having to encounter the menu screen.

What's the more?!
