Not always applicable, Animal Crossing and Wii Fit sold really well, and they are among the two rarest ones.

They might be selling through limited stock quickly more than 'selling well' though when it comes to the figures.
Wii Fit sold well but I doubt the people who bought it were clamorimg for a Wii Fit Trainer toy.
Animal Crossing I could see though.
I think they were referring to their games selling well.

I got all amiibo so far, but I have a feeling that I'm more likely to miss someone in the future.

Can you take a pic of the bottom of the base if you're going to open it? I know US and EU bases are different from one another, but I don't know about JP and US.
What? I thought there were no differences? Information regarding regional differences or lack thereof is really conflicting even in a thread with people regularly importing.

TRU eBay e-mailed me yesterday saying my Capt Falcon that I ordered from eBay won't ship till 2/1.

looks identical to mine, I bought mine from amazon.de. Only thing is that the base looks completely black, while in the image it looks kinda gray, is it the lighting on the room?

Still looking for the Captain, Little Mac and Pit. No luck yet. The Target that said it had Little Mac via that brick search or whatever just plain didn't, the Gamestop that said they had Cap and Pit online said they had ten people come in and only the first three got them. Oh well, back to the hunt!

So I went to Best Buy today to pick up my Light Pit pre-order. I was pretty happy they actually had it unlike Little Mac for like a week.
After they gave it to me I took like 3 steps away from the online pickup counter and noticed under the huge pre-order sticker that it was broken in 3 places. All that was in the box was the stand, with Light Pit laying down on it, and his wings next to him.
Luckily they took care of it right away and were able to grab me another one really quick but something still doesn't feel right about it. Was it broken before they put the sticker on and they planned on selling it to me like that when I would obviously notice, or was it broken after the sticker was put on due to poor handling or flimsy manufacturing?
I dunno. Just glad I got a good looking one though. I'd have been pissed if I was stuck with the broken one if they shipped it to my house or something.
Don't have any pics cause I had them replace it as soon as I had it in my hands.

Most likely a misunderstanding, they are busy people, could just have taken any pit and put a sticker in it, it sucks for the guy who is going after you, tho.

Any imperfections on Pit so far?
I hope mine will be perfect, that's my main fear from ordering these online, but I quickly realized that I had no choice. I don't really have the time to go sleep in front of a Best Buy.
The brown triangle on my Pit's belt is off. Kinda jarring for me, sadly.

Checked online earlier and saw some GameStops had Pit in stock. Started calling and the first one was sold out, the second one just had one reserved, while the third had two in stock. The guy on the phone said they weren't doing reserves though, so I told him I'd try to be there as quickly as possible. 30 minutes later I walked into the store, asked for Pit, and he said they were out. Darn. But then he asked if I was the guy who called and I said yeah, to which he responded that he actually did have one for me, which he then pulled out of the drawer. Turns out he decided to save me one anyway! Thank you GameStop dude.

Crazy, yesterday I get an email from Best Buy telling me my item is unavailable for pick up so I called in about it. They let me change it to ship instead of pick up but it was back ordered. Today I get a notice that Pit shipped.

My Best Buy had Pits in stock. The one they tried to give me for pre-order was broken, but they had another non broken one to give me. Dunno about other Best Buys.
The more figures I get, the less I care about this type of thing. I start to notice more and more imperfections on my figurines and I end up saying "screw it", lol.Any imperfections on Pit so far?

Wow. Randomly went into a gamestop cause my brother wanted to say hi to a worker he knows, not expecting to find any amiibo, and they actually had pit just sitting there. The display was a billion pikachu and zelda, a couple peach, a couple luigi, and three pit. I only picked up one (plus a luigi). In the time I stood in line, they received three calls asking about pit amiibo. all the people got told it was first-come, first-serve, and holding one wasn't allowed. He'd apparently just came in this morning.
I feel really lucky. I'd already gradually given up on pit.
I was apparently about 5 minutes too slow to get their only captain falcon. We would have been slightly faster if not for what appeared to be a payday loan robbery that caused traffic on the way there. I need to check the news and see if anybody got hurt. such drama.

That sounds like total nonsense since it already says 6+ on the box and literally no other retailer has stopped carrying it

I'm in the Cleveland/North East Ohio area. It was the Parma/Brooklyn Best Buy. I also cancelled my Captain Falcon pre-order when I picked up my Pit so they probably have an extra one of those too.
I haven't been keeping up with the Pit/Best Buy situation in this thread so I didn't know it was a big deal if my store had them or not. Just wanted to post about my issue with picking mine up today.

The most common issue I saw was his right hand often having brown paint and chips on it.
You had good fortunate because it seems like just about every Best Buy in the country did NOT get Pit for in store pickup, so it must be delayed going to stores (what it seems like). That or a WHOLE lot of people are gonna be mad as hell...

Wow. Damn. Then I feel extra lucky then that not only did they have mine in stock, they had another one to give me to replace it. Sucks for those that can't find them though.
Edit: I honestly expected this to be another Little Mac situation where mine was delayed for well over a week.

Seems like Gamestops are getting shipments of Pit in. Checked online for in-store pick up, saw a location that wasn't there this morning, and called asking them to set one aside for me. Guess I shouldn't celebrate before it's in hand, but they do exist! F5 the check availablity page a couple times today. It could work out for you.
