Hmm.. my specs are i7-7700k @4.2GHZ, 32 GB DDR4, GTX 1080, SSD drives (EVO 850 for apps). I am am going to see how it performs at 1440p. If I can get it there and get at least a steady-ish 45fps I'll be happy for now. I don't want to have to buy a new graphics card, but if my system eats shit on the game I'll bite the bullet and order a RTX 3070.

I am honestly debating with myself on if I even want to read reviews when they drop. I just rarely find myself agreeing with them. I guess it will be good to get a general overview of the game, but when it gets down to the meat of the review I often dislike the nitpicky stuff. It can sometimes ruin my enjoyment as they point out things I would have never noticed most likely.

I realise that is the whole point of a review, but yeah. Unsure what I want to do right now. Might just go dark from this thread.

My workplace just shut for the week due to a cluster of positive COVID cases, and it may be shut till January (I work in a school so I get half terms off), so I may have till January to dive into this game?

Of course it sucks for those who tested positive, but I won't moan about getting time off paid to play CP2077!

How could this game even get a review without the day one patch?

Doesn’t the patch officially release on Dec 10?
Reviewers were probably told the issues that were being fixed with the day-one patch so that they take that into consideration when scoring the game.

And it looks the like PS4 pre-load includes the day-one patch.

Apparently some French journalist said the reviews will go live at 6PM CET and that many people will be surprised, I'm quoting a reddit comment, lets hope he means "positively surprised"

Most day one patches are tying up loose ends on bugs, crashes, etc

The core of the game wouldn't be changed from the embargo date to release date
Cause like
Then they would have to completely review the game from the ground up again??
Why send a review copy in that case?

I fully expect the game to get fucking roasted for technical issues... but celebrated for story, world building and character. Which means it’s worth fifty quid of my money, any day.

My stance is, it's a new CDPR game, I am sure it will live up to most of my expectations. I don't give hide nor hair to any other thought on the matter. I don't care about crowd density, or spongey enemies, or first person view at this point. If the Cyberpunk RPG systems have been translated well into the game, and the story is compelling, it's a win for me!

Not worried about reviews. Nothing is going to change me from diving into Cyberpunk. Not even the horrible stomach issues I am going to have on Thursday that will require me to call in sick.

I took off the 10th and the 11th. Haven’t taken off for a game release since Red Dead 2. Right now the only first world problem on my mind is “Do I take a short nap before midnight on Thursday?” My sleep schedule is probably gonna be fucked regardless 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've been working from home for fucking months thanks to the pandemic. And when I say 'working' I mean getting everything I need to done in two hours, and spending the rest of the time gaming and talking shit on GAF :messenger_tears_of_joy:

So we're assuming the digital download version will come with the day one patch already included are we?

Only I'm filling my anemic PS5 SSD up fast, and not sure it'll have a main download, followed by a patch download :messenger_tears_of_joy:

What's everyone's launch day plans looking like?

I have the morning off work on the 10th, but sadly this is so I can do an exam in the morning for my qualification, but part of me is wondering if instead of returning to work straight after if I should just spend an hour or two with this game :messenger_smirking:
We are relocating our entire business in another place and on that particular date i have an ultra heavy day of work, cyberpunk at night is gonna be like fucking a pornostar after 20 years of prison...
