hmm del toro's name is not included on the credits at the end of the trailer
hope he's helping the game in some way and not just a cameo

Biggest surprise of the night so far. Seeing Del Toro confirmed and then fucking Mads aka Hannibal is some legendary shit. Sony got a goddamn powder keg of awesome if they play this right.

I have always maintained that Death Stranding is a horror game and this trailer more or less confirms this. Also this game will be heavily influenced by ideas that Kojima had for Silent Hills and it really shows. This trailer had black oil, alternate dimensions, siren sound in the background...this is so Silent Hill in vision.

What's with Mikkelsen always having something coming out of his eyes? Casino Royale, Doctor Strange, and now this.

Woah, glad they got Mads! The cast just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to see the first bit's of gameplay. It's going to be glorious.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

I kept expecting Junji Ito to come running around a corner any moment being chased by some horrid monstrosity straight out of his own artwork. Who knows maybe they're saving that for the next trailer.

Welcome back to the second installment of Mindfuck: A Tale of Babies and Dead Crabs by Hideo Kojima.

BTW, does anyone know the name of the song that played towards of the trailer? Is it original, or did Kojima get it from somewhere?

Junji Ito is on this game. His twitter account has even liked a tweet when a fan asked whether he is working with Kojima. See here: https://twitter.com/danielpsneo/status/781640266360889344

They will reveal him but not now because that will give away the genre of Death Stranding.

And the fact he was locked away from working with his team from actually finishing up MGSV. The game already had a lot of crazy mindbending teasers leading to the game and Kojima already describe the game as an action game. I can only image his unfinished work and ideas from MGSV and Silent Hills is just going to go full unfiltered in this title.

I mean, the tentacle shit and sea creature stuff is pretty prominent imagery in Ito's work. Specifically Gyo, especially the tank with intestines dripping out of it. So I wouldn't be surprised. I really hope that's the case.

video game guillermo del toro holding weird baby in a jar while organ tanks roll around and then blonde mads mikkelson shows up with a squad of umbillical cord soldiers kojima what the fuck are you doing and when can I play this this cocktail of insanity.

Yes, expect a cross over between MGS and Silent Hills...open world action elements from MGS and Horror elements from Silent Hills...but in the end this will be a horror game at its core. Everyone from the original team of PT is back (Norman, Kojima, Del Tori, Junji Ito (according to a tweet))

Now they just need to bring back Akira Yamaoka to make this Game of the generation. Btw, Akira has expressed his interest in working with Kojima. http://nerdreactor.com/2016/07/15/c...let-it-die-and-hideo-kojima-being-his-senpai/

Everything about this looks insane. I realize we haven't even seen a bit of gameplay or story yet, but god damn am I intrigued by this.

This looks absolutely amazing in every way. And I'm not even a Kojima fan. Goddamn. Those eyes, man... those facial expressions... it looks absolutely real.

I'm really curious to see where things go from here on. I figured a horror game but now this one seems unshackled from an franchise Kojima seems to be going all out on it. I believe he mentioned open world as well at some point?
