Shit!

Was just wondering if you had a group at reset?

Our group with Dhruv, Kartik, Silver and such need a 6th. Unfortunately for Dhruvs spot because he isn't able to make reset for the immediate future.

I might be around for the Weekly reset if you still need a sixth. My normal mode Crota static didn't even raid together for Hard Mode, I think the Fellowship is broken.

No it won't.

Nothing specific to announce at this time, but the mistakes we made with the DLC1 reward economy will not be repeated:

Mistakes like:
  • Vendor gear invalidating the effort of VOG Raiders
  • Upgrading an Exotic reseting its talents

Our philosophy about rewards/loot continue to evolve as we see how players play and react.

We will continue to improve acquisition stories and frequency (My understanding of the perception is that Crota's End drop rates are much improved vs. Vault of Glass: footnote below), lessen the grind and get players to the fun parts of their arsenal faster.

On CE drop rates vs. VOG:
The Forever 29 meme was a killer for us.

We sat down and talked about the rewards for VoG and the rates vs. CE and ended up with the following:
  • increase drop rates globally in CE: we wanted dedicated players to be around 32 or real close by the time Hard mode came out.
  • increase the variability of perks that a given piece can roll.
the goal here: players would reach 32 easier than 30, but would have more customization and options to build the perfect set (in terms of stats, perks, weapon affinities)
The part where this didn't work as well as we'd hoped is with the Shard economy. Shards are a are a barrier between you and equipping a sweet new piece of gear.

We want fewer barriers to equipping upgrades. The shard economies erect these barriers between players and the new piece of gear they just got.

We're not intending to adjust the shard economy for this Tier -- we don't want to invalidate player effort (again). But removing the barrier between that new drop you're excited to get and actually being able to equip it as a member of your arsenal are something we will do going forward.

You need to make the perks on armor actually good enough individually to compete with one another. Killing hive with grenade energy is nowhere near as good as killing them with a critical hit.

Hopefully you guys learned your lesson from the reaction over making hard CE level 33 when we can only hit 32.

Oh, and buff pulse rifles already.

I'm pretty sure if no one has gotten Crux of Crota by this point. You have to atleast complete the raid twice(on one character) to get it.

This is great to hear. Not sure how things would have gone over post HoW otherwise.

I'm at a BBQ with friends and won't be home for another 9 hours and I can't shake the thought of downing Crota. It'll happen I'm sure. In the meantime, I'm gonna drink a ton and enjoy the company here til I get back on. Also, I am liking what I am hearing from Luke so thanks for that.

Regarding the limitations created by Shards Luke, I think the game is due for a currency conversion system.

Trade ascendants for radiants, vanguard marks for crucible marks, etc.

I have almost 600 shards with nothing to do with them.

Thanks so much for stopping by Luke!
A new NPC in the Tower dedicated to Currency Exchange would be awesome.

Time to analyze!

Does this mean our CE raid armour will be available to upgrade to level 33? Likely not 34, which would be the most likely new level cap.
  • Upgrading an Exotic reseting its talents
He said talents, not damage, so I will assume the change will be that the perks/talents will stay upgraded but the damage bubbles will need XP and mats once again.

Hopefully this means the end to shards period, just need mats and glimmer to upgrade raid armour for House of Wolves. This would really promote multiple builds as you get different rolled armour as you keep raiding.

I listened to it unedited on my way to work today. It wasn't bad. It just felt like it was last night lol. Anyways its taking forever because of you. I did my best with the controller noises, but i'm a novice.

But it wasn't a problem last time. The fuck happened? -_-

Yeah I was confused on what he meant by all over the place. They're all basically at the same %.

Stats are overrated, you make orbs, teammates make orbs, you have abilities that make orbs or speed up supers etc.

Stats are not the only way to get your grenade, melee and super up and ready.

Might as well cluster and streamline the entire economy by having less currencies if you're gonna have currency exchanges anyway. For instance: What's the point of crucible and vanguard marks if you can just trade one for the other? It's better to have just have one type of mark then. Makes the whole economy system less convuluted for new players too.

I definitely heard the clickity clack of a Dualshock 4 in Episode 2 for what it's worth. Not loud or constantly though.

I dunno how some people play but some people are incredible loud with their controllers. Seems like some people are just ripping their controllers apart to me lol

I already got muh loot. Surely someone on destinyGaf would be willing to go in my stead?

You already beat Crota a second time?
