I hope Sony has a dedicated Japanese segment of their conference. Give us new trailers/demos of games like MGSV, FFXV, Persona, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Tekken 7 to help dispel the myth that Japanese console development is (completely) dead. It would be a tremendous feel good moment for a lot of gamers much like the indie segment at E3 2013 where they brough them all out at once.

This would make me so happy, I would love to play some DQ Heroes at E3.

I interpreted it as Sony having the lion's share of marketing deals, whilst MS will focus on their exclusives. That seems consistent with this tweet, at least.

Perhaps more 1st party presence at the MS' E3, is less intentional, and more the effect of receding publisher support.

Yeah, while it's in Microsoft's interest to try and associate major franchises with Xbox, it's probably not in most third parties interests to associate their big franchises with distant second place, even if there is co-marketing money up for grabs.

At that point, no co-marketing deal at all may be a better alternative.
