Prototype 2 Radnet access.
But that barely counts. It's more of a first-print perk than anything else.
Ah, ok. That doesn't seem too bad compared to withholding access to multiplayer of other online passes at least.
Twist, used game won't exist anymore and that's why EA is killing the Online Pass program.
Discontinues online pass
Employs online-only authentication
Gawd, I hope not.Hmmmm.. This sounds fishy.. Is this related to the rumored NextBox partnership?
Sony. And given next-gen fears the reaction probably COULD be worse, though it might just be another homerun for a lot of people. What other publisher has been pushing online passes as hard as EA? (no one)
EA doesn't need online passes on services like Origin and Steam.
EA cancels online passes right as new consoles come out.
Hmmmmmmm

What was that patented DRM tech for PS4?
Why?

This is proof that systems will be online only... :|
Nope. PS4 is already confirmed not to be online-only (and so is NextBox???).
On the other hand, apparently publishers can require online connection, or some sort cd-key system.
They've realised that there is more money in micro transactions than online passes
EA games on PS4 will probably be online only, while other publishers might not decide to go that route.
i still cant play BF3...
Technically, yes, but people tend to infer "feature" as something of substance, hence the ridicule. There are variety of alternatives: aspect, component, element...
I understand, that is fair enough. Thanks for the answersHis usage fits the literal dictionary definition just fine (a prominent or conspicuous part or characteristic), it's just that the commonly accepted usage of "feature" is usually meant to describe something as being desirable. It's just so rare to see people describe something that is considered universally negative to be a feature.
Certainly not wrong, just hilarious.
Steam needs competition.
heathy competition ? yeah
utterly shitty competition like origin ? hell no.
It means that EA is seen as bad by the majority of gamers. To say this doesn't matter is silly.
What? Origin is probably the 2nd best DD platform out there. It completely destroys Uplay and GFWL.
GOG?
