1. Super Mario Odyssey ; Game of the show for sure. Reinvents 3D Mario all while being seemingly the best of it as well.
2. Metroid Prime 4 ; I don't care if it was just a logo, it was the biggest surprise of the show, and the most exciting one as well.
3. Metroid: Samus Returns ; there's already some comparisons between this, M2 and AM2R, and it looks very interesting. M2 always deserved a remake, never expected one from Nintendo like this.
4. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus ; Really great trailer, pushing what made the previous game/reboot even further. Can't wait.
5. Dragon Ball FighterZ ; Shame that it was leaked a few days prior, as this looks glorious. Mix of Guilty Gear and MvC, all while being accessible and with a great IP? Sign me up!
6. Metro Exodus ; the trailer was very promising, and the fact that they said afterwards that they're looking at STALKER this time makes it even better.
7. Ace Combat 7 ; decent trailer, but all that new gameplay is what makes it shine.
8. Shadow of the Colossus ; never expected a remake (it didn't need one), even less this beautiful.
9. Hunt: Showdown ; Original trailer was bad, and not much info was given, until those last few days and that gameplay video. Seems like the best of DayZ, Left 4 Dead and Vermintide in a single package, with a phenomenal artstyle and tech.
10. Monster Hunter World ; Would have put it higher if Capcom wasn't fucking up their communication (both for this game, XXS, and other games) so much. Gameplay looks good, art is not that impressive. Shame about the lack of crossplay as well.

How can you tell? PS4 gets almost every game that is talked about at E3. This is not the case with for example the Switch or if you're exclusively a handheld game player.

Not the best E3 in terms of conference quality. But in terms of overall game quality? I think we're taking it for granted just how stellar the upcoming horizon looks for games.

Reading threads like these it always amazes me how many people just have a PS4. I guess it makes sense, I only had one console (though I was also a PC Gamer) until my mid twenties too, but that feels like a lifetime ago. And I wasn't on GAF then.

I always had every console until my late twenties then I reduced to one as I simply don't have time to play everything anymore (though I'm about to make a Switch purchase).

I used to play on PC as well over ten years ago, but I usually stick with one platform. I have a laptop these days, and I don't like to play on it. Luckily, indies coming to consoles makes it unnecessary. As for the other two console platforms, there's only few exclusives I'm interested in, and I barely have time to play what I like on one system. Not to mention, that I wouldn't want to pay the monthly online fee for more than one.

Here is a quick list. Not exactly sure about the order and such but here it is.

1. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ; This isn't the game I'm looking forward to the most, but I did think it had the best showing. It captured everything you'd want from a sequel to The New Order. The humor. The heart of the characters. And the over the top action has been ratcheted up higher than before. Just looks awesome.

2. God of War ; I have just totally bought into the vision for this new take on the series. It was a series in need of reinvention. The new mythology and camera are perhaps the biggest changes, but I love the new direction they are taking the story and character of Kratos. The combat looked much better than last year showing off more of the fast-pace and crowd control reminiscent of the old games. Can't wait for this game.

3. Super Mario Odyssey ; I'm not as big on the sandbox style of Mario 3D platformers. I prefer the linear ones of more recent years. But this looks a big step up from 64 and Sunshine. Just the fact that you don't leave the level each time you get a moon is huge. It looks really creative and I feel lessons learned while making the linear games are paying off here.

4. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy ; Honestly it just looks like more Uncharted, but I love Uncharted so that is cool with me. I think the pairing of Chloe and Nadine should be really interesting. I'm glad the grapple and Jeep are returning from 4. And the bit with the helicopter in the trailer looks insane. My most anticipated game at the moment.

5. Yoshi ; I really enjoy the Yoshi games and this looks like another fun one. The artstyle is really clever with the look of one of those dioramas you'd make as a kid. Seeing the flip side of the levels where the inner-workings and construction is on show was really neat. Good Feel did an awesome job with the core Yoshi mechanics in Woolly World and I expect the same here. One of several announcements that makes me excited for the future of the Switch beyond 2017, but the one I'm most excited to play.

6. Metroid: Samus Returns ; I've never played Metroid II and this looks like it plays really well.

7. A Way Out ; Looks like a really unique, innovative take on co-op.

8. Hidden Agenda ; I liked Until Dawn and this looks like a cool multiplayer take on that sort of game.

9. Ori and the Will of the Wisps ; Just excited to get another one of these. Loved the first one.

10. Tunic ; Really cute game that caught my eye.
