Like, all the major publishers gave Nintendo nothing. No Call of duty? EA couldn't get fifa out for launch? Some lego game? Like there is close to nothing.
I checked WiiU's launch, and yeah, it seemed like third parties actually gave a fuck in the beginning. Say you will about ports, it blasts the shit out of the switch launch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_console_launch_games#Wii_U
Is it because its a March release?
Dunno, am I missing something here?
I think since we heard about NX becoming Switch and now, it's just since 20th October, we really got the final details about the specs, and release date, etc about the Switch.
Most third-parties didn't simply have enough time to come up with a proper plan of their releases, compared to traditional console-releases, and they also had Christmas-vacation, fiscal year change, during that period of time.
Not too supriesed about weak launch-lineup except for Zelda, but I expect you'd see a much bette rthird-party support in the future. :-/
