Yeah, it's probably NNK 2. The first one sold a lot better in the west than in Japan so an E3 reveal makes sense.
An NNK2 with a more mature cast/world (ala Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa) would be amazing.

And I thought Square was the only JRPG company GAF hated. Wow...
I take it you're new to GAF? Every RPG dev has gotten hate at one point or another, but I'd say the most universally hated are Compile Heart and Idea Factory. Who is the most universally loved? Apart from pre-merger Squaresoft I have no idea...

I recall him having this huge bulletpoint thing where he was talking about how the game would have the GRAPHICS OF FF, the STORY OF DQ, and the SCALE OF MH... or something like that.
Atlus probably.
Also, Hino said that he wanted to make an MMORPG for PS4 just last year, so take from that you will.

So Dragon Quest XI and probably Ni no Kuni 2(a JRPG at least), both on PS4, revealed this December?
YES!

Studio Ghibli magic on my PS4 would melt my eyes! @_@

Anyone remember the crazy self-promoting hype coming out from Hino when he first announced White Knight Chronicles? I recall him having this huge bulletpoint thing where he was talking about how the game would have the GRAPHICS OF FF, the STORY OF DQ, and the SCALE OF MH... or something like that. Can't remember exactly what he said, but man, the kool-aid must have been fucking strong. ;P
Studio Ghibli Magic in project Morpheus is the true eye melter.
Ghibli art galary tour in Morpheus...
Do you remember that conference they had where they ended with a game service and showed off a new console as a joke? I hear your feels.
Than they made Ni No Kuni.
Speaking of their conferences.... they seem to be skipping their Level 5 Vision event this year entirely. Lol.
This is really surprising. I didn't expect any big game announcement at all.
Please, no Ni No Kuni.
Really semantic, but I wish people wouldn't abbreviate Ni no Kuni as NNK.
The "no" is a grammatical particle used to show the relationship between Ni and Kuni. It doesn't have any inherent meaning of its own so it doesn't deserve to be capitalized and included in the acronym.
It would be similar to capitalizing "of", "and" or any other connective word. Similarly, those are usually left out of acronyms, so "no" should be too
On topic though, I would love a sequel or a new IP!
Ha! I did not know this. Reminds me of my little rant in the Sunset Overdrive OT of people abbreviating that game as SSOD when its abbreviation should only be SO. So I guess Ni no Kuni should only be abbreviated to NK?
