Haven't checked amazon.jp's top 100 for a while. Toukiden performed surprisingly poorly on there compared to real world sales.

Stuff like Bayonetta; Soul Sacrifice Delta & Senran Kagura are higher than it despite the fact that it beat all of them (by some margin) in actual sales.

Not a fantastic metric to be pitting Final Fantasy against, yet.

Oh and pre-orders for Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 started a while ago.

Vita version is leading on Amazon, but flopping at #120, 3DS version at #445.

n3DS, n3DS LL and MH4G launch at week 41, same week 2013 had Pokemon X / Y and Vita-2000 launch. In theory 3DS should have a better year end this time since December 2013 wasn't particularly strong.

Yeah. There are custom Vita and Vita TV editions, but they don't come with a copy of the game and are exclusive to the Sony online store.

No significant hardware bump should be expected.

Speaking of Vita, when I was preparing the predictions, I was looking at its release list, and it doesn't have a single relevant game until Phantasy Star Nova on Nov. 27. It's going to be a a game of how low can you go in the next 60 days. Heck, we might as well change the thread title to "3DS Sales Week X, 2014" until then.

Well it seems like Fatal Frame's final comgnet preorders were 36. Didn't go up the past 2 days, but I guess they might just think there will be stock and there's no need to preorder like a day before or something. Fatal Frame is #8 on Amazon JP, which is higher than Bayo 2 got I think (I remember its highest being 12), and only behind Pokemon, MH4G, YW2, and FFEX.

I have a strange feeling that this could end up being the best selling title in the series, feels weird saying that about a Wii U title considering the state of the system

Well given it's getting a joint media campaign (movie, manga, etc.) and the GamePad is just a perfect fit for Fatal Frame, so in some ways it makes some sense. I hope that'll be case at least, and maybe it'll sell some consoles. If its LTD nears 100K, it'll be hitting Silent Hill levels actually. SH2 = 122K, SH3 = 96K. FF4 already outsold SH4 for example.

sinobi expects similar sales from KH 2.5 to KH 1.5.

However I think what she wanted to imply was since two games for adults were released WiiU is (currently) getting attention, at least at her store, and it's a good thing to have such games to be released for that console.
(Both Bayo2 and Fatal Frame are rated CERO D (ESRB M equivalent) in Japan).

Good for Fatal Frame then. While this is a single store (right? or is this a chain too), anything to sell more copies of Bayo 2 is nice. Bayo 2 sales > 1 next week confirmed =).

Well considering we had NES Remix 1&2, Just Dance Wii U, Sonic, MK8 and then OP: Unlimited World Red in a span of every couple wekes and apart from MK8, nothing really sold much (NES Remix sold fine for what it was, and nobody seemed to want OP on any of the new platforms), so maybe some unique titles like these would help. Next release? Probably Smash or Toad lol.

Confirmed release date? I think Lego Movie at 11/6 and those 3 Namco titles iirc (Taiko 2 and those 2 others).

It's about time for a Wii U direct. There have got to be some new bundles. Last years were doing well, and this year they have even better software to include, such as Mario Kart 8, SM3DW and Smash.

The only way Nintendo gives Smash a Wii U bundle is if it will be a standalone limited edition one, not like last year's long time runners.
