So the Stream is looking at these two blokes playing, with the screen facing away from us... looool
really weird even the main Minecraft twitter posted the announcement and this is how low tech they went lol

that's it they are done already with Switch lol
who owns beam?
anyway I'll still get Minecraft I am glad they say they will patch it to catch up with other versions but that was short as hell if you missed the whole thing going to twitch
It's coming later apparently, technical difficulties with getting direct feed.So what was said/shown for switch ?
lol and they could not get twitch to work? its almost as if they planned it that way
I have no idea, but I prefer Beam anyway. It's working flawlessly.
They had problems getting direct feed on Switch, they're coming back to it later.Wait! I'm confused. Are they playing in on Switch because it says the Xbox One Edition.

That's big news.Switch version does have bigger maps then the Wii U version. They just mentioned that in the stream. So I'm assuming the Switch version is the same version as the PS4/XBO version. Where as the Wii U one was the PS3/360 version.
he just said Switch has bigger maps than the Wii U

Not even PS4/Xbone have "full" size worlds; just a much higher limit.Surely this version has the full size worlds right...

Heard that too but they didn't go any further than that. I don't even know how small Wii U maps can be so I can't get a feel of why that would be relevant for the typical person who knows more about Minecraft.
he did follow up saying he is not sure how much bigger
he could have easily said matching Xbox One/PS4
maybe this is just in between Wii U and PS4
True but I don't see why it wouldn't be on par with the XBO and PS4 version. Switch could handle it. I think it's been said the Wii U could have handled that version without any issues. They just didn't port that version.
Are they unaware that you can't stream from Switch in handheld mode?? Why in the hell are they trying this shantytown off-screen crap and not just dropping it in the dock to stream it properly?
they could easily dock the damn thing smh
It's just the GPU clocked down. The RAM to hold a certain portion of the world in memory doesn't change, nor the CPU taking care of whatever spawning/growing things going on there, and anything out of the immediate area is a matter of having the disk space to save it.they reason I say this is because of Portable mode being clocked down so much so I wonder if they can get parity
